During the end of my dads junior career he said he played quite a few games against the Hatcher bros. I guess he was not lying...
-
I dont think Keith signed, the only reported talks were with Kane and Toews. Nothing is official yet though, I could be wrong.
-
No way in hell will Shannys or Feds numbers be retired here.
-
He is going to be a first ballot hall of famer for sure, but if you think his number will be retired you are on crack.
-
One of my all time favs for sure. Lets hope he has a nice retirement.

I say we stick to endless overtime. Playoff hockey baby!

Our top guys are finally playing like our top guys, period.

I would like to see this once everyone is back. 3 players will be returning, so that means we have to send 3 down. Take Abdelkader, Miller, and Malts out of the picture. The Leino-Zetterberg-Cleary line had some amazing unexpected chemistry going out there, keeping that would be nice. Also, I really believe DHE should stay together. That leaves us with - - Leino-Zetterberg-Cleary - - Draper-Helm-Eaves May We now have Datsyuk, Bert, Franzen, Williams, Homer, and Filp left over. Fill in the blanks how you want to and this tam looks pretty damn good. Well, this is just what I would like to see.

I can not argue with the Wings staff either, but IMO he is one of the most skilled players in the NHL today. He seems to find a way to screw everything up, but I think this should have been the next "Cleary" to look at. He has tremendous amounts of talent, if we could put him with someone that he had chemistry with, and could up his work ethic you would see magic on the ice.
-
Wait, someone please clarify this. HE IS ONLY MAKING 800K?
-
Williams will end up on the 3rd line when everyone is back, and if Babs is sane the DHE will stay together and become our 4th line.
-
Drapes is looking better this year than he has in a long time. Playing with 2 kids that are also very fast is doing good things for his game.

I usually stick with DANNY BOY!

I love that white cheddar powder so much! Front row seats or "normal" seats perpendicular to center ice?

Im pickin up what you're layin down. I completely agree with that, maybe im just one of those people that didnt want to see Stevie compared with Crosby :/

1.) Hossa 2.) Federov 3.) Quincey Honorable mention: Conklin, Sammy, Huds, Legace, Shanny, and Avery.

Even though I was going to let this thread be, I have to disagree. Crosby and Malkin rarely produce much when one is without the other. When they are together they are lethal in the offensive zone. Yzerman still thrived without Feds. He would destroy teams every game his first few years in the NHL, and Stevie was not playing with anyone who had skill even close to Feds skill level.

Actually, I do like that a bit more. I was trying to keep Z and Dats together, but with those 2 plus helm and drapes on the same line it was tough.
-
Franzen-Datsyuk-Cleary Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Leino-Filp-Williams Draper-Helm-Eaves This is what happens! Well im not really sure, but this looks amazing. All of those lines can hang with almost any other teams top line on the ice IMO. Now THATS depth!

All announcers will be biased to some extent, although you can sometimes hardly tell. I will agree that the Wings were outplayed, but not by much. Anyways, it was back to back, but they seemed to get stronger as the game went on. Strange...

I normally go to 2 or 3 a year. I only live about 1 1/2 hours from the Joe so that is no problem. I always try to pick up some tickets around Christmas with my student discount, and that is always a blast.

Very true. I know it will probably be Z who gets it in the end. From what I know Z is a social butterfly with the guys though, something Stevie and Lids never were. I remember watching an interview with a Wing where they said Lids is more like a coach than a teammate. But hey, are there any players left on our team that are as mature as Lidstrom anymore?
