Tonight I will decide if I think the Wings have really picked it up or not. The have looked good in the 2 games since Toronto have them their beat down. Well, the Vancouver game seemed pretty even, no clear harder working team there, but Howard stole it for us.

Datsyuk can barely speak English, and Z is not a leader figure. Cleary has proven he can lead , and Kronner is going to be our best d-man when Lids retires. Kronwall has also proved he likes to take control, when the Wings were in Sweden he took control of the situation and very happily served as the "guide".
-
We do not have any good "leader" figures on our team besides those two right now, but I could see Cleary or Kronner getting it. Most people seem to think Zetterberg will replace Lids, so im not sure on that.

Just adjusting to ice hockey must be different. Axelsson is also a world class roller hockey player in case no one knew that. If roller hockey was a bigger sport I guarantee thats where he would be.

cough*COREY FAIRY!*cough Sorry about that, I seem to have a cold.

That right there is gold!

Lets hope E can ragdoll Perry around the ice like he did before! name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

Yeah, this is total BS. If he was a $2m goalie it might be a little more believable.
-
Miller is not close to being done developing. I have watched him a little bit, and here and there he will just make a genius play, or do something impressive going in to the offensive zone. We all know he is awesome defensively, but I believe he will grow tons offensively.
-
Lets hope we can carry out momentum in to this one and beat down those Ducks!

Today I was actually thinking about how we can leave that line together when everyone is back and healthy. Right now they are our 3rd line, but when everyone is back they will make up our 4th (hopefully), but where does that leave May? I know Babs likes to dress him on a regular basis, so what options do we have here?
-
It just gives us more depth, and stacks the team up down in Grand Rapids. Im all for it, he is pretty solid defensively, and is fast. He could put on some more weight, which im sure he will. 6'2 170 is slim, especially for an NHL'er.
-
From what I've seen May must think Ericsson is incapable of fighting or something. At least May is doing his job though.

Very nice indeed. I know my favorite Wings goal...

What? I cant tell you the last time I missed a Wings game, but I dont remember this. Oh well, when Mick retires maybe Mac can take the throne.
-
And Yzerman did that with who playing around him? He had no star players at his side that year. Please tell me who Messier played with during most of his career.

A month ago I would have went on an angry rant about how miserable I was, but I couldnt be happier now. The person below me thinks wintergreen life savers are delicious!

Andy Strickland: "Wings and 'Hawks lead Forsberg race"
cjm502 replied to The Mule's topic in General
Detroit and Vancouver are the 2 teams that are seriously interested in Forsberg via NHLSourcesSay Chances we eventually pick him up are not looking too bad -
He really doesnt do anything right out there. I say we trade him to someone for a bag of pucks or something of equal value.
-
Wow, the ESPN article made it sound like no big deal, but after watching that blood dripping out as fast as it was thats pretty sick.

Vancouver is also interested. Count them in. -
No idea why, but the fact that he spent the entire summer training with Downey tells you he has no intentions of giving up fighting.

Every goalie has games like that every year. Huet blows bottom line.
