They both have their own charms. I'm going to take the Swiss route, and call it a tie. More annoying: toothache, or footache?

I won a signed, game worn, Adam Oates sweater at a golf outing back in 1988(?). The person below me, was bummed out when we traded Adam Oates.

I've stayed at both The Bourbon Orleans and Maison de Ville hotels in New Orleans, which both "claim" to be haunted. Closest I got to haunted was Mrs. BigWillie getting a little scary after a few too many Hurricanes. The person below me has been to Mardi Gras, (and can remember it.) Edit: oops. The person above me snuck in line while I was finger tapping on my phone.

The horse "Zetterholm", was in stall number 40 all week. The stall is usually reserved for the winner of The Derby. Hmmm.

The 10 Best Sports Illustrated Stanley Cup Playoff Covers
BigWillieStyle replied to Jedi's topic in General
I can't believe that Howie Young got a cover of SI. Must have been a real slow week in sports. Going to have to find one of those for Fathers Day. I was too young to remember his "glory days" here, but my father used to talk about how he was truly insane, on and off of the ice. He apparently made Probert look like an angel, which of course Bob was. He got traded and somewhere along the way got sober. Came back around 67ish(?) and was a really good 2nd pairing D-man for a couple of years. He was a real big hitter, and had decent offensive abilities. He was here for probably 2-3 years, then I think he went to The WHA for 3-4 more years. Don't know what happened to him after hockey. He died around 10 or so years ago. I remember a small article in The News or Free Press when he died. I wonder if SI still has that issue available? If not, I guess I'll have to do a little searching. I'm sure the old man would get a kick out of it, and Fathers Day is just around the corner. -
Still wondering why donuts make Crystal Gayle's brown eyes, blue.

It's hard to pick favorites, but these guys have always had an album or two next to my turntable. The person below me thinks yodeling is a great way to get their day started. Edit: Don't know why that didn't embed. They usually do from my phone. Sorry for the link.

Like them both, but given the choice, it's Clam Chowder. Clam Bake or Pig Roast?

Didn't used to be, but I am finally approaching retirement speed. It's been a tough transition. The person below me is going to spend some time today outside, relaxing, and thinking about what a beautiful day it is.

How did you guess? I have a Powermatic 18" planer that I've had for more than 25 years. Also have Porter Cable porta-plane hand held planer. I have a fairly well equiped shop with goodies that I've accummulated over the years. Most of the furniture, as well as, cabinetry and flooring in my home, have been built by myself and much help from my father, my brothers, and my son and daughter. I'm trying to figure out what my next project will be, as I have no idea what to build next. The person below me knows several words that rhyme with orange.

A comb works well enough with what I have left. Though my playoff beard can be a little tough to navigate, come June. Keep fixing it, or buy a new one?

Maybe it's me, but he seemed like one of the only guys out their trying on a lot of nights late in the season, and in the playoffs. He played with more gusto than the whole 3rd and 4th line combined versus Nashville. If any of the young kids played with a heart like his we'd be discussing games in the GDT still. If the price isn't too high, I don't see why he can't be signed for one final year with expectations of maybe 40-60 games this year. I don't think a 12-14 forward is going to ruin our chances of winning anything next year. It's our 3-11 forwards that are a bigger concern, at least to myself.

We can't put an offer sheet in for Karlsson anyway because we don't have our first round draft pick for this year. Besides I don't think Kenny would do that.

I've often thought that the "Original 6" should be changed to the "Surviving 6". Calling it "Original" pays no credence to the teams and inter-league play that happened before 1926. The Maroons, The St.Pats, The Millionaires, The Metropolitans, The Senators, The AAA. Some of the greatest sweaters ever in the pre-NHL years. The powers that be, make it seem like nothing existed before 1926. That just seems so wrong. Maybe Gary should tske a quick history lesson.

Usually TV, unless it's deemed a theater must see. Peanut butter. Smooth or Crunchy?
