So, I guess Kronwall doesn't want Kenny to pick up Hemsky.

Or maybe thank the refs for making a bad call. Rewind your tape. Hall trips over Clearys stick while trying to leap over it. He got his right foot caught up about halfway up the shaft, or about 1 1/2 feet above the ice. Noone even tripped him according to the NHL rulebook. And Miller didn't even touch him. But, go ahead bring the hate.

You have to keep in mind that Kovalchuk was to be an UFA and had told Atlanta that he would not re-sign there. His trade value dropped significantly at that point. They took the best offer they could get, which minus the picks, was The Devils making room for Ilya's contract, by cutting contract dollars from their roster. The players going back to Atlanta were more for financial terms than for playing ability. Regarding Suters asking price, Darren Dreger was on NHL Tonight last night, and had stated that the asking price for Suter, if The Preds were to offer him for trade, would be, A roster player, A top prospect, A second tier prospect, And a first round pick. I'm pretty sure that that statement was was from Poile, but I'm not 100% sure. It could very well have been Dreger's speculation, but I thought it was paraphrased from Poile. Something think about for all of you empire builders.

didn't you just say that we lost. Make up your mind.

Better deal than losing in regulation. Vegas had us losing. I call 1 point a good deal considering.

Way to redeem yourself Miller.

0 shots in the third. Come on red wings.

1 for 34 right now. UFC Hudler makes a more scary enforcer.

Have you forgotten that Montreal has won 24 Cups in their history? How many of their retired numbers wouldn't count as, "organizational greats"? Give a few examples of numbers that shouldn't be retired by The Habs. As far as Wings go. Larry Aurie's number deserves to be "officially" retired. And Lidstrom's number, will be retired, without a doubt. Datsyuk stands a chance, but he needs to add more team, as well as, personal awards to his resume for that to happen. That's why I think it would be great to have "honored" numbers, like The Leafs do. I feel that players like Draper, Shanahan, Osgood, Fedorov, etc., should be recognized for what they did for the team, even if their numbers are still left in circulation. Just my .02

Obviously, you're an expert in physics, as well as every-*******-thing else in the world. Oh guru of knowledge. You notice who was laying on the ice? Not Morrow. Edited fer spellin'.

I think I'll remember this hit forever. Not sure if Michalek has any recolection, though.

Chara needs to pick Shea Weber. That would be great to see them taking turns teeing up the bombs at Alfie's team.
-
Who is this Datsyuk guy they picked? Never heard of him.
-
Funny, I had him as a Volvo kind of guy.

So, is this break mandatory,... or can Babs skate their legs off tomorrow morning???
-
Still time for 4 quick ones. Let's take it to a shootout. Haven't had one of those in a while.

Huds starting the comeback.

It's great, even Strader and Pierre quit giving a s*** about calling the game, and are catching up on old times.

So, when is Nick's kid draft eligible?
-
Can someone go out and find a cardboard cutout, or a Fathead of Lidstrom, and put it on the back glass of the bench. Maybe that will inspire this team. Also, please pull Jimmy before he says that this is the last game he's played for this team.

I don't get it. What, doesn't he speak French well enough?

1/17 GDT : Red Wings 3 at Dallas Stars 2 (SO)
BigWillieStyle replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Dallas minus Benn and Ribiero. What a great time to get us a road win. 60 minutes of hockey boys, that's all i ask. Don't take a single shift off. At least until we're up by 10. -
Stuart for Murray? Maybe a low pick in there, don't know for who. Maybe swap different round picks, conditional on Stuart re-signing? Don't know if The Sharks bite (pun intended) but, it would be a fairly equal trade. Stu has more offense upside, if you can say that about Stuart. Murray is a rock solid stay at home guy who can clear the crease, and is a pretty good hitter and shot blocker. Don't really think they would go for it, but if Kenny makes them an offer they can't refuse...
