Like 2008 was? That didn't work out too well last time, if i recall. I think we're best playing Chicago in the first round. It's an easy travel schedule, plus i feel, other than maybe Minnesota, that they are the least physical team in the western race. Not getting pounded on for one round will be big for a long run. I also think it gives a team a little bit of swagger if they knock off the reigning champs. Maybe Dallas can do the leg work for us again, and take out LA and The Sharts, only to be too gassed to give us much of a fight. Whoever we play, i hope we show up to play against them like we mean it.

I think we'll pass 100 pts. easily. Would love to see them pushing for 110 pts. I also think 50 wins is possible, but i see us falling just short of that, the way they've been playing. It would be interesting to see what Babcock would do if the last game came down to being the 50th win. Does he put the whole team on the ice and go for it, or does he give a few guys a game off to rest going into the playoffs? I guess that depends most on where in the standings we are. Or if we're even in the playoffs at all.

Problem is, Balsillie wants to buy an American team at firesale prices ( $100-200 million ), rent a moving truck and move it to the GTA, where it will instantly be worth $1 billion or more. Not a bad haul for a days work. I really doubt that he has any interest in paying retail price for MLSE. But if he does, more power to him. The Leafs could really benefit from having an owner that actually gives a damn about the product on the ice.

I can see in the very near future, that uniforms will include skirts with them.

Though, the makeup of people is of very little difference than it is in Vancouver. The only difference being that Vancouver is in Canada.
