New Jersey was a terrible fit for Kovy in my opinion.... Lemaire is all about a defense, like in Minnesota, and the team just has trouble scoring goals. Detroit would be a PERFECT fit for him. He would play with one of the highest skill passers/playmakers in the world with the best screener in the world in front of the net... That sounds like a good combo... Although it seems more likely he will go to a higher paying team like LA or Boston... He would be an idiot to even consider going to the "overpays crappy players and doesn't know how to build a team" Rangers. I'd certainly welcome him... who knows, maybe he'll pull a Marion Hossa

I have said since january that Pitt would be in the finals this year, again.... If washington loses in the first round, then I would almost guarantee it. Even if Washington makes it to the ECF vs Pitt, Pitt will exploit their defense much like Montreal has done... Every team left in the west is better than every team left in the east.... It is now just a matter of how much the west beats each other up.

wow... I can now see this one going 7... that is awful luck for a team who has just turned it on.

Well to be fair, he had a nice goal in game 3 that put us within one until Jimmy let in a crap goal... And he has had at least 2 amazing assists, in game 2 and game 4, setting up Datsyuk for the finish... No, he isn't scoring 9 goals a series but the guy just came off a 4 month injury and he is still one of the best players on the team... Plus, yesterday he made a sick move in tight on a defensemen to cut in close for a shot, it just didn't go in... IMO, he is a big, if not the biggest, reason that this team has been on a role since the olympic break... He's not going to burry every chance; give the guy a break.

they need to define what a "kicking motion" is more clearly... He definitely intentionally extended his foot to direct the puck into the net, but he didn't kick it... Interesting call, but they need to rewrite the rule where it is more specific to these situations.

I agree with this.. I think Babcock still feels it's too early to switch the line-up, especially after they had a pretty good game 2 performance... But If they have a rough 1st or 2nd period tomorrow, I think he will make some changes... and as a last resort, he will put Dats an Z together with Homer.... and at really last resort, he will put Dats, Z, and the Mule together... i just hope he makes his decisions before its too late.

They should put Franzen with Zetterberg and Filppula... One shift last game and they already had a goal... I was hoping he would do that the whole game, looking at their playoff success... I think Babs knows that Zetterberg can still produce without players like Hossa or Franzen, and still be good defensively... But when Hank plays with Franzen, it really looks like they have some chemistry there.. Then put Bert with Dats and Homer, as that was working earlier in the season and Bert wants to play a more playmaking role anyway.

Holmstrom will be on the first, not the 4th line... Bertuzzi is more likely to be playing on the bottom 6

100% agree with you.. Cleary has played great the last 3 games. Yesterday, he was definalty one of our best players.. He backchecks great and has more offensive ability than anybody else on the bottom 2 lines... If they did: Cleary-Zetterberg-Franzen Flip-Datsyuk-Homer You could arrange the bottom 6 in different ways with Abby either on the 3rd or 4th line...

Does anybody else think Helm has become less impressive over the course of the year? It seems like he has strayed away from his physical, checking style game, and has tried to be a goal scorer... The problem is, he doesn't have a shot and he doesn't know how to pass... That third line got completely owned yesterday... Whoever said they should move Williams to third line center has a point... It would make the 3rd line a little more dangerous I think. He might be able to compliment the way Cleary has been playing lately and get some goals... Draper is the odd man out imo and should be replaced with Abdelkadar for sure.
