haha, who would have predicted a comment like this from a poster like you
-
everybody I know pronounces it "ah", Frahnzen... the other way sounds weird and I only here national broadcasters say it
-
haha, yeah that was awful... but he played the body good tonight and had some pretty good offensive chances
-
they had 8 defensemen tonight so somebody had to sit... also, Ericsson looked pretty good tonight
-
Detroit: Datsyuk Franzen Cleary Vancouver: Kesler
-
What rumors are you referring to?
-
IMO he should play Howard for the fact that he is much more likely to get a win tonight... Ozzy has been screwed this year, no doubt, but at this point experimenting with a very very cold goaltender would most likely backfire... If we would have won last night, I'm sure Babacock would have played Ozzy tonight, but oh well, what's done is done and all the chips are on Howard to get us into the playoffs.
-
he might be a little slow for forward, but still, this will be pretty cool to see
-
Ericsson at forward might be kind of interesting...
-
What are you talking about? Calgary has the pretty much the same record as the wings. They obviously "show up" to play just as often as the wings do. And if the team makes it into the 8th seed, then they are perfectly deserving of making the playoffs. Some people are huge babies on this site whenever they wings lose. Sure, they should have won that game, but at least they showed some fight in the third to get that one point out of a game where they probably shouldn't have had any.

AHHH! My bad... Detroit: Datsyuk Franzen Lilja Edmonton: Penner

Me too... the last two days I have wore a Red Wings shirt and the 2008 stanley cup hat... I can't help it, it feels like that time of the year... The more you think about it, the more you realize how amazing it is to have playoff hockey apart of our lives every year, especially living in metro-detroit. Everybody lives for red wings playoff hockey around here, and it is very apparent. Like during game 7 last year, the roads and businesses were dead, and everywhere you went you could see red and white... it really is something special being a Wings fan. March Madness is cool and everything, but I can't wait until April and the NHL playoffs start. Greatest part of the year IMO. GO WINGS!

why are people saying he is slow... he looks fast in all these videos and he looked pretty fast in the olympics if I remember right... why not give this guy a shot.. he looks like a really hard worker with great skill. He will end up being better than Ville "I don't want to work hard" Leino

Detroit: Datsyuk Franzen Lilja Helm Edmonton: Penner

Do not agree with Stuart being THE least valuable player in the league... He is a huge reason the wings were able to hang around while our entire team was hurt.. that seems pretty valuable. It looks like this guy is going purely off stats which is an awful way to do this list
-
Agreed. Toews is a world-class player and the Hawks are lucky to have him... if this were a 1-8 or 2-7 match-up, it would be epic
-
Wow that was a very impressive performance... Clutch, very very clutch. Good job wings!!!!!
-
wow Bert and Williams almost just f***ed everything up
-
that was big
-
Looks like Maltby is preparing for his broadcast career
-
Oh yeah, that was sweet... I am 10 times more pumped for this game tonight! I'll be working, but sneaking a peak at TV any chance I get! LETS GO WINGS!
-
oh come on... how can you say they don't deserve to be where they are at... they were a crappy team for a long time, got good players through the draft, and are now one of the best teams in the league... nothing is a given in this league. Sure, it helped to get a lot of top picks, but they still have played hard all season to get where they are at in the standings; you can't take that away from them. What about that 2002 cup team? They signed Hull, Hasek, and Robatille because there was no salary cap. They had the second highest payroll only the the NY rangers. Did they deserve to win that year? Yes. They still had to go out, play the games, and win.

that looked dirty by Downey... he picked his leg up, put it behind Crosby's knee, and then took him down dangerously
-
good read for sure... that figure skating story is pretty nice to hear
