Because Meech has had a much better year than Lebda. I was just saying that a 3rd pair with Lilja and either Lebda or Meech would be better than a 3rd pair with Ericsson right now. And since Meech has been better than Lebda this year, it should be him.... but I'm sure you understood what I was saying.

Meech should be paired with Lilja tonight... He doesn't make that many dumb plays... Ericsson has been so awful that it is almost pointless to have him out there.. Lilja and Lebda got it done in 2008, so why not Meech and Lija?

I don't even think Afinogenov is on the trading block. People said they would rather have him then Kozlov, but I don't think Atlanta was actually going to trade him.

It amazes me how many Pro GM's we have on LGW! Honestly, we should get Illitch to hire of few of the posters here because they know what they are talking about. How was Williams a terrible pick up? The guy was hurt for a huge portion of the season, and has finally started getting back to 100% and playing better. He can score goals and is a very good depth guy to have on this team.

cry me a feaking river... Your team won, including the coach... If it would have been Babcocks fault if you lost, then Babcock contributed to the win as well... Find a coach with a better resume the last 10 years and stop complaining about winning gold... He did a good job, period. the whole tournament, this guy delivered at big moments... I like him before, but my respect for him has gone up a lot... it is too bad he is on Chicago though... he will be a great captain for many many years.

Kane looked pretty good out there but I still can't stand him... for me, Toews showed that he is going to be a great player in the years to come. Every time he was out there, he made something happen.

what happened to all the Canadians who thought Babcock sucked and Yzerman should have picked a different team? This team is good, really good. Easily the most complete team in the tournament. That being said, I feel their blowout win against the Russians was do mostly to the Russians awful play. You have to give all the credit to Canada because they came out to play and Russia didn't, and it showed on the scoreboard. If Russia would have half showed up the score would have been closer. I don't think they will have that easy of game against any of the teams they play next in Slovakia, Findland, or the U.S. I also think the only team that has a chance of beating the Canadians for the gold are the Americans. I am going to predict a USA-Canada rematch with USA winning 5-4 in overtime courtesy of Brian Rafalski.

Also, the one of the best players for Canada the whole tournament has been Toews. Canadas 4th line is owning Russia's 1st line.
