I feel more confident with Howard in net, as of now. It seems that no shot for Ozzy is routine. Howard is bigger and seems to make the "easy" saves look easier than Ozzy. However, when Ozzy is on is game he is clearly the better goalie.... J HOWARD is hot, I say play him!

Yep. Think about it, letting in 2 goals a night is usually good enough to win a game around the league. Our goalies have been good for us this season, we are just not scoring enough goals to win games, and the goals they are letting in are odd man situations where its not the goalies fault.

your right, Ozzie is playing pretty well right now. Just sometimes, it looks as if some shots are harder to stop for Ozzie than for Howard. It has always been that way. Ozzie is still the obvious starter

I agree. Howard has shut everyone up on whether he would be able to handle the NHL, including myself. He isn't quite ready to be a starter, but I do find myself feeling more confident with Howard in goal rather than Ozzie sometimes. With Ozzie, you have to hold your breath on every shot (because of style and size), with Howard, who is finally getting some games to play, you get the feeling he has to work less to make the "easy" saves. Also, all these injuries, although they hurt now, can only have a positive outcome for the development of our future players like Abby, Helm, and Leino... Sticking with the program is the reason why we are successful year after year

Exactly Howard has been doing his job, as good as Conklin could have done, so I guess its a good thing we didn't waste money on him... Bert doesn't suck at all.. he will be an awesome 3rd line player when our team is healthy.. You can't expect that guy to score every night. He's not a 1st line player anymore, but he's our only option

Chicago is going to be a scary scary team... They made it to the Western Conference Finals last year, and now this year they are better and more experienced... Hossa is a great player and will likely give that team a chance at winning he PRESIDENTS TROPHY. that being said, I still think a completely healthy wings team will beat them in the playoffs.. We beat them last year in 5 games, which easily could have been a 4 game sweep... just pray for a healthy team come playoff time

Your right Cleary did have 8 goals, and I never said anything bad about him. Cleary is easily a top six forward on this team and has great chemistry with Zetterberg. I never said DHE was a terrible line, and agree that they have probably been the best line, consistently. But you suggested we bench Williams, Bertuzi, and Leino in place of May, Abdelkader, and Miller, which to me makes 0 sense cosidering WBL are all better than MAM (although I would like to see May to be rotated in on the 4th line). I understand what you are saying and I agree to a certain extent. But the 'chemistry' these lines have had include Leino with Zetterberg... Bertuzi, who has been somewhat effective... and williams is still a solid third line player... I am just saying that your suggestion of lines will never happen... the best players will play

First you say unstoppable then you say 'pretty good'. Datsyuk and Zetterberg will be split up because they are much more effective that way. They don't produce enough together to keep them together. When Franzen and Filpula are back, everything changes. The wings have succeeded with 2 primary scoring lines, 1 secondary scoring line and 1 grind line. May will be worked in the fourth line for the "toughness" you think we need so badly that you want to sacrifice an entire line of mediocre tough players. Wiliams and Bertuzzi are and will be more effective come playoff time than Abdelkader and miller. Franzen will help Datsyuk out in the scoring department. They won't have Bert on a line with Homer when Franzen gets back, but right right now thats the only option. and your right, it is the small things... But having a lineup full of 4th line players won't get the job done. 2 fourth lines is not what this team needs, just one effective fourth line in Draper Helm Eaves. They need more scoring depth, and the only player that can effectively do that is Bertuzi and Williams, not Abdelkadar and Miller. And again, your lines were terrible... really, really terrible if you want any hope of this team going somewhere in the playoffs... Know your hockey
