I feel like that design fits him. He is a goalie so he is automatically a little weird and he comes off kind of nerdy anyway. It is not that bad.

I don't know if that is necessarily true. Ritola has so much more potential then Miller it is not even funny. It is great that Miller was able to step in and do what he did last year on a very injured team. He played great on the PK, good defensively, and even found a way to score some big goals. But we know what miller is and what he will be in the future: a very replaceable 4th line grinder. Ritola is young. He has very good skill and potential to be a solid player. If you put Ritola on a line with with some good NHL players like Hudler and Cleary, I could see him really flourish into a good player. This should be a no-brainer.

I think he means that this guy can be tough while also playing a solid game. Anti-enforcers don't want the type who is capable of nothing more then fighting. He didn't say he expects Salei to put up as many points as Kronwall or Lidstrom...

The guy is 40 years old, the best American player of all time, and still has hockey left in him according to KEN HOLLAND, MIKE BABCOCK, and MIKE MODANO. He is better now then Darren Helm will ever be. The guy makes our third line a legit scoring threat. 1.25 for a player of his caliber is far from a waist of money... Who else did you want with that money?

I don't see Modono going to the Wild because they are not really contenders right now... Why would he waste a year with a team who didn't even make the playoffs last year. If he is going to come back for a year then it will be to a team that has a legit chance of winning the cup. That narrows it down to either Detroit and San Jose. San Jose would be an interesting choice for him considering he would be in the same division as the Stars. In Detroit, he would be playing with some great players on a very deep team in his home state. I hope he comes back for one more season and joins the wings. But he needs to make a decision soon so the wings can make the signings and moves necessary for their team.

oh look, we just signed Eaves... now we have him for a few more years so some people can stop bitching about losing "great young players"... I feel as if the management for the Red Wings have a plan and know more about the situation then all of us... So, when they sign Modano, it will do nothing but help this team make a long playoff run... It is going to be a great season
