Zach Parise agrees to 13-year, $98-mil deal with Wild
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Tim.D's topic in General
Dude, your team just paid Parise, who totally choked in the finals with a total of 1 point, $98 million over 13 years. Fletcher is a dumbass for giving him & Suter 13 years, considering in about 5 years, both contracts are gonna come back to bite you guys in the ass. And to be clear, I'd have said the same about Holland if Parise or Suter signed here with that kind of contract. Neither Parise or Suter are elite players in this league. Both are unproven in the playoffs. Congratulations though bro, maybe you guys will make the playoffs this year -
He'll probably go to Pittsburgh, Crosby has made it clear he needs some Semen in his life.
-
1-year deal worth $1.75 mil. I assume he'll take the spot of Jagr. A pretty low-risk signing.
-
Semin made almost $7 mil last year. I can't imagine he's gonna take that large of a pay cut. Could be wrong, though.
-
2-year contract. Financial terms were not immediately available. He'll fill Eric Boulton's spot. The arms race in the Atlantic Division continues.
-
Or he thinks he's the next Bobby Orr.

Funny how these random posters come out of nowhere and just freak out.

Matt Carle signs with Tampa Bay: 6-years, $33-million
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Travis's topic in General
I'm happy we didn't get him, especially at that price. Holy balls. -
This signing went down on the 1st, but I didn't see it around here, so I figured I'd post it. After having the last year of his contract bought out by New Jersey, it didn't take him long to find a new home. 1-year deal worth $550,000, according to TSN.

Acquiring Komisarek would be an interesting move. I wouldn't be opposed to it necessarily, however my first choice for the #7 D would be Jim Vandermeer. I'm sure he'd be happy with around $1 mil, and he knows his role and plays it well. Blocks shots, clears the crease, and protects his teammates. I think Finger is a bust, and if we were to acquire him, he'd be nothing more than a call-up from GR. There are better options. He's proven to be much more explosive than Hudler in the past, but I'm pretty sure he made $6.7 mil last year. He's gonna want a raise or near the 6.7 mark, which is absolutely ludicrous. In addition, I think he's gonna want a longer term contract.

I have no clue. All i know is his agent has supposedly been in contact with Holland.

Well, since you put it that way, I'd go after a chick in her mid-30s. She's got experience, and still has some left in the tank. She's still looking pretty good and looking for the time of her life. I'd rather go for a girl like that as opposed to a younger girl that may or may not make it home with me. As in you can't read her well. Its hard to tell whether she's really into you and the whole deal. What I'm trying to say is we should make a push for Shane Doan.

Dude, you're gonna hate Semin. He's Hudler 2.0

Holland comments on Suter & Parise going to Wild
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Liquidsnake's topic in General
Every thread that has the names Parise and/or Suter in them should be locked, other than the original threads stating where they signed and the details of their contracts. Even after they've signed, about 470 new threads have been started about them. -
I'd rather get someone younger than Doan, but I don't want Alex Semin here. I've said it time after time and I'll continue to say that he is another Hudler. On top of that, he's probably gonna want a lengthy contract, something I don't wanna give to someone who is extremely streaky. You just never know what kind of effort he's gonna put forth each game. If we could get Doan on board for one year, I'd be happy. That's a huge sigh of relief.

2-year deal, per TSN. Financial terms not disclosed at this point. Another good signing for Minnesota, though.

Jake Dowell Signs With Minnesota

True. Forgot to make that clear. Do you think Minnesota goes quiet for the remainder of the summer? -

Prices were a little too steep, too. -
I'd seriously start to question whether Ken is capable of icing s competitive team if that happens.

He's still available..I'd rather Jim Vandermeer, though.

That's ridiculous. This team isn't going anywhere until Matt Ellis is brought back.
