Jets re-sign Anthony Peluso for only 675.000 AAV (2 years)

Yeah, I'm thinking McGrattan's career in the NHL is likely over. Hopefully I'm wrong. -

Yeah, that 2002 Panthers team was something to behold. 5 players with at least 10 fights. Lilja joined in 2003, though. -

Not many, but a few. 1. Jared boll: 72 GP 2. Brandon Bollig: 62 GP 3. Tim Jackman: 55 GP 4. Anthony Peluso: 49 GP 5. Shawn Thornton: 46 GP 6. Luke Gazdic: 40 GP 7. John Scott: 38 GP -Eric Boulton: 10 GP. Healthy scratch most of the year -Brian McGrattan: 8 GP. Healthy scratch before being demoted to the AHL. -Patrick Bordeleau was injured all year and I'm not sure where he fits in with Colorado for next year. -Guys like Orr, Carkner, McLaren, and Rosehill were buried in the AHL early in the season. All the other guys who fight do so while contributing offensively here and there. -

I'd never want a guy like Peter Worrell on this team. ...Unless he got top 6 minutes. Is Chris Thorburn set to return to Winnipeg next year? If so, I can only see Peluso getting into around 50 games next season. -

I mean, Ken digs reclamation projects, and the guy is still young (27). Why not give him a chance? I've heard similar things about his attitude too, though. -

There can be intersections between the hockey truculence crowd and the hippie movement, you know Personally, I'd like to see a guy like Gregory Campbell here. Not sure if we're going to have room on the 4th line, though. If we end up looking for a top 6 forward, I'd like to see us pursue Chris Stewart or Matt Beleskey, though Beleskey will be grossly overpaid. -

I'd trade Andersson for an Anthony Peluso rookie card, honestly. -

Bingo. I'd be totally cool with paying someone like him that kind of money to play 50 games a season. -
No doubt he's still a great passer. I think we should invest in someone younger for the top 6 if we're going to shop around. That isn't Holland's bag, though.

Yeah, Chris Thorburn is a more versatile Peluso. It'll be interesting to see if the so-called "goon" continues to fade. There was a long list of players beginning last summer who weren't signed to NHL contracts (Barch, Westgarth), and the ones that had contracts were buried in the minors very early on in the year (Orr, Rosehill, McLaren, Carkner and eventually McGrattan). -

He's definitely not close to the best fourth liner in the league. He's probably one of the best fighters in the league, but that alone doesn't make him a great fourth liner. When I think of solid fourth liners, I think of Gregory Campbell, Derek Dorsett, Nate Thompson, Brad Richardson, and Dan Paille. -
That diving choker needs to stay as far away from Detroit as possible.

Good signing for Winnipeg. He isn't going to play every single game, but he doesn't seem like a liability, from what I've seen. Not an offensive threat by any stretch of the imagination, but he plays his role well. Right, because we've been consistent at making it out of the first round recently... -
2015 SCF : Chicago Blackhawks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

Or any objective morality. -
I've been busy and admittedly have somewhat fallen out of the Red Wings loop, so to speak. Who are players that are absolutely not going anywhere? Seems to be more talk of potential trades this offseason (Though I'm not putting a ton of stock into them at this point). 1. Are Tatar/Nyquist trade bait? 2. Is Weiss being bought out? 3. What is the deal with Franzen? Will he be back? 4. What's the deal with Smith? Are we re-signing him or trading him? 5. Who are we looking at on the blueline? Phaneuf, Wisniewski, Jackman, McQuaid? 6. Are we looking to add anyone up front?

Sending out job/internship applications all day in NYC while my girlfriend works. Kind of depressing.

Roussel is such a scumbag. Should be 5 + games. -
I doubt tons of teams were lining up, but I remember Bob MacKenzie saying something to the extent that several teams would pitch him offers during the summer, which is more than merely "Perennially horrible Florida".
-
Where did I say either McGrattan or Thornton were good hockey players? Also, I doubt the Panthers were the only team interested in Thornton this past summer.

He doesn't know the difference. Anyone who fights more than 3 times in their career=unskilled meathead goon.
