Funny how I said that the Hockey God's would get the Hawks back for running up scores.
-
Stuart is too much of a money player.
-
I think if you ask anyone who isn't a fan of the Wings which team the NHL is against it wouldn't be the Red Wings. My own personal conspiracy theory has to due with Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa losing in the cup finals to three southern teams in consecutive years.

Huselius is really inconsistent. Most painful player to watch on the Flames when he wasn't on a hot streak.
-
So Mike Keenan was bad, but can you really keep Sutter out of the top ten when he started with only Iginla and no prospects and turned the Flames into a contending team on a five year playoff appearence streak? I guess drafting in the top five is what makes a GM good (exception Lou and Holland).

If Bourque signed elsewhere I would cry. He plays like a younger Jarome Iginla with more speed but obviously not as good snipe-wise and not as smart. By far the Flames best PKer and it seems like everytime he is out on the PK a shorthanded chance is created. Right now I'm thinking he is the winger that will bridge the gap between Iginla declining and the next prospect winger (hopefully Nemisz) breaking out. Any team that picked him up would be greatly improved. I know it sounds like I'm overrating him (as I'm Flames homer) but just from watching him you will see he is the Flames best forward right now. The downside is his style of play makes him very prone to injuries.

I'll go with Canada when it comes down to how popular it is. There are over 100 outdoor rinks in Calgary come wintertime. I can't remember the source but I remember seeing that Canada contributes a dispoportionate amount of the league's revenue.

Yeah the Flyers and Caps are so weak... The Penguins will win the cup again within the next five or six years. Maybe not this year, but next year or the year after. The Hawks aren't very screwed at all. I'm sure worst case scenario a team will take Campbell. I can only hope the Flames can get there hands on Bolland or Sharp, but with a major raise going to Bourque they won't have very much money.

How is this team going to look going into the playoffs, healthy?

No I mean proper as in the Wings get called for all of their interference and the Flames don't get called on non-penalties when the refs do screw up. -

I'd gladly have the Flames play the healthy Wings in the first round, provided that the series is reffed properly. -
Well he certainly wasn't against Calgary.
-
Where did I say Crosby was better then anyone?
-
No. He is going to continue sucking. Trust me.
-
Kiprusoff doesn't argue very much unless the interference involves players falling on top of him. Even then it's usually the players arguing. The call came from Cleary being in the crease for three or four seconds.

Rene Bourque at 1.35M It will likely be in the 3.5-4.5 range next year. Maybe even more if some team overpays him. It's a shame his style of play makes him prone to injuries. Edit: Yeah I'm going with Duncan Keith as well. Bourque is great but a top 5 defenseman at that cap number is amazing.
-
That was absolutely 100% a correct call. It was weak but it is in the rulebook.
-
Sarich is out for Calgary. Expecting low scoring from both sides.
-
The more they run up the scores the more payback they're going to get from the Hockey God's.
-
Kronwall lost in a match with karma.
-
I haven't watched him this year but if I had to guess: -blind passes into the slot that cause turnovers -will not play physical -floats around, will not skate -tries to make fancy plays which lead to turnovers
-
Dirty hit for sure. It looks like Glencross was expecting Drury to get a pass so he could knock him off the puck. He went high on the hit for sure so it's hard to defend as either way it would have been a shoulder to head hit.

I was replying to this statement: What the Flames did was wrong, but to go and call them punks is a little bit harsh. After 30 years of good will, the Flames all of a sudden ruin it with one bad decision? Yeah right.
