I keep misreading this thread as "Other Examples Of Brad Stuarts?"

Just because the team won doesn't mean Goof is playing hot with his .889 save% tonight.
-
It's crazy that after tonight, they're only 3 points behind Boston for 1st in the division.

Prince traded to Texas for Kinsler. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/10008050/detroit-tigers-agree-trade-prince-fielder-texas-rangers-ian-kinsler I'm honestly shocked and ecstatic.

And it obviously gets caught on video but according to him, the video doesn't exist because he's never seen it, but it could've happened but he doesn't remember it. -
That would be better and I wish he could be playing in the AHL right now as well, but I don't think his progress is being hampered too much. He still had to improve on his competitive pace and so far he's answering that well. Now he just has to keep it up until the season's over and bring it over into the AHL for the remainder of that season. Now if he was stuck in the Q for another season, then yes I think that'd be a waste.

I watched the game on and off, so never really focused on AA much. How bad was he? I thought the little time I watched him he looked pretty good with the puck, and those goals against while he was on the ice looked like Andersson not picking up his man in the slot, and then for his -2, AA battling against two in the slot by himself with Cleary skating in bent over past Ladd and doing nothing, and Ladd was able to put it in.
-
Would've been a nice goal but Datsyuk's stick was lifted.

My BFF!

Little already had the edge on him so Quincey tried to make a diving swipe at the puck and never connected.
-
I'm drooling over that 4th line.

It sucks that Smith is out (his struggles aside), but I'm very excited to see AA finally get a shot to play. I remember back when he was leading scorer for all F/D as a defenseman in J20. Hopefully he gets used on the PP as well, see how well his QB vision really is.

Get 'er done, Kenny, before Holmgren gets fired!

I wanted to share this: Polite kid, and he sounds like he was a sponge during development camp. I also liked that he took note of the talk going on about the perception of his compete level and he took that serious and worked hard to shake that off. I'd say he's done pretty good to shut the critics up with his explosive start to the season in the Q.

Now he knows how most LGW members feel about him.
-
Good start for the road trip, 2-0 so far! So far they've given him credit for the goal.

Ken Daniels says Franzen won't be back tonight, suddenly the Wings score!
-
Did I just watch Hudler take the puck back from Kindl and they scored off of his pass? Just....wow....
-
While I agree that he's delusional in thinking scoring twice, on two scoring chances, in one game is being effective over a 12 game stretch, I thought he stood out at center in the few games he was moved there. He just needs to shoot the puck more and hopefully that's what he does tonight, and hopefully he gets one or more to help the team try to win.

This isn't Helm related but your post reminded me of a similar instance with my father who's also very, very casual. To this day I think the only sports players he knows by name are Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Barry Bonds, Miguel Cabrera and... Drew Miller.

Can't blame Smith on that, I thought that call was pretty soft.
