So happy for Dirk. One of my favorite players in the league and I've always hoped that one day him and ex-teammate Nash would get a ring. So far Dirk was able to get it and definitely deserved that and the finals MVP.

Carter sure is enticing to have, but something tells me it would be the wrong move to trade for him. Like someone else said, idk if I like the idea of three long-term contracts (especially with Pasha and Zata already in their 30's), and not focusing on defense the next couple years with Rafalski gone and possibly Lidstrom this season, next season or the season after, whenever that decision comes. Plus Kronwall's contract will be up soon. It just seems like a move that could backfire on Holland for cap reasons.
