We could always throw Sammie Lee Hill in net. I don't think he'd have to move at all.

Last time I remember that happening was when we had Hossa. Can't remember who we played against but I remember the 5-0 lead after the first.

I feel good about the season. Dumbrowski actually did some things for the team that should be more than enough to win the division. As far as the AL goes, we have arguably the best hitter (unless you think Hamilton's better), the best pitcher (now that Cliff Lee is gone), and a very good closer. Now we have more protection for Cabrera, a possible legit #2 ace behind Verlander (plus much better rotational depth), and a strengthened bullpen. The only glaring weakness I see is our outfield defense, but I don't think that's a big problem.

Brady Hoke is the new coach. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6012465 That didn't take long after finding out Miles wanted to stay in Baton Rouge. In another article, Brandon was quoted as saying Hoke was their man all along If that were true then he would've been hired day 1 and not almost a week later after courting Harbaugh and Miles. Well, welcome to Michigan Hoke. I'm sure he'll do fine here.

Les rejects us a second time. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6011557 Kinda bummed about that. A part of me was hoping he'd come here. For as much crap as he get, he is afterall 62-17 being in the SEC, with a national championship, and went 11-2 this season with some notable wins and a big bowl game victory over the Aggies. The guy's just a good recruiter, and I think being formerly from Ohio, he'd know that to be able to contend with Ohio State you have to try and go after the Ohio born recruits as well as the Michigan-born. Make it hard for Tressel to keep OSU the Big 10 powerhouse it has been. The job has to be Hoke's now.

I'm using ESPN3 but I usually go to atdhe.net for any game. Been a more defensive game ironically. Weird score at the end of the half too lol.

Oh but one of them did. A blindside shoulder that just happened to catch him in the jaw and break it wasn't that bad? I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that answer.

I like Hoke too. I think he'll do fine. I doubt he'll light the world on fire, but he's still a good fit for this team and he's what's needed atm, besides Harbaugh that is. I think RR had alot of support when he first started, but after that first season people started to mumble. It also didn't help him that certain people of the school didn't want him here at all and wanted him out. I know I didn't want him here at all just because of his coaching philosophies/system and lack of adaptability. I do think he's a good coach, but Michigan and the Big 10 are not the Big East or Pac 10, where his system would work well in.

There he goes. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5999744 I'm surprised he turned down the Miami deal, rumored to be around a lengthy $8 million a year deal and being in a warm-weathered football city. That would make him the highest paid NFL coach over guys like Bill Belichick, Mike Tomlin and Mike Shanahan, without ever winning a Super Bowl. Instead he took a $5.5 mill per year deal with San Francisco's mess of a team. Should be a better situation for him to turn them around though, considering the NFC West's lackluster of a division. I think he'll do well, since he won't have to deal with Belichick and Rex Ryan twice a year. Hopefully Brady Hoke or whoever decides to coach here does the same.

Well he was a 1st round QB and played 15 years in the NFL, then went on to become the quarterbacks coach for the Raiders under Bill Callahan (who got promoted to head coach after the Jon Gruden trade to TB). That was the team that had Rich Gannon and lost in the Super Bowl to the Buccaneers, coached by... you guessed it, Jon Gruden. Next season the Raiders sucked hard though. That's why I think he's a hot commodity in the NFL now because of his NFL QB playing and coaching experience and being part of the staff in the Super Bowl, and then making a name for himself coaching for San Diego and Stanford and turning around their programs. Plus, his brother hasn't been doing too shabby with the Ravens.

Other possible candidates: Gary Patterson of TCU and Jon Gruden (hmm). Patterson would be real nice to have here, he's done great things at TCU. Gruden would have a good presence, but I don't see being a college coach before he gets hired by an NFL team again. Apparently Dave Brandon's phone and email is blowing up with interests for the job Hopefully he just puts the right person in place within the next couple days and doesn't take his sweet time.

Good riddance. Now all signs point to Hoke being hired. It's not a bad decision, I believe he's a good pick. He turned around Ball State and SD State, is a Michigan man, and coached under Lloyd Carr, but IMO David Brandon has to throw everything at Harbaugh to get him here. Another candidate is Les Miles, another Michigan man, but I highly doubt that since the opportunity was there 3 years ago and he signed a long contract with LSU, and if he decided to leave to come here he'd have to pay back a little over a million to buyout. I just don't see that happening. If Harbaugh stays in Stanford, it's because Luck stays. If Luck enters the draft, Harbaugh will definitely be a top candidate for an NFL coaching job like San Francisco. The only way we'd get him is if Brandon throws an offer at him that he can't refuse, which I doubt he does that. Rumors also have it that Brandon doesn't even want him here for some reason. Meanwhile, Brady Hoke, according to the media, says he's ready for the Michigan job. Looks like he's our guy so we have no choice but to support him. I think he'll do fine here if they hire him but I don't see anything from him that will turn the program around back to elite status. I do think he'll do much better than Rich Rod though. My wish is that David Brandon does everything he can to get Harbaugh here.
