I can imitate Caputo pretty well. -

Babcock mentioned during the post-game interview that he sat him on purpose just to switch things up. -

I'm wondering if he suffered something during the Anaheim game. He seemed to get picked on a lot during that game along with Datsyuk. -

lol that's what I was thinking. I had no idea until Modano took that shot and Ken just said it. -

2010 College Football Season Thread

I can't stand our defense. I mean I understand if you're having trouble with coverage or bite on certain plays or moves, that stuff takes time to learn and you'll get better at it through experience, but I can not understand how almost the whole defense can't tackle. Seriously, this is pee wee stuff, is it really that difficult to wrap up? It pisses me off to no end how every runningback powers through our guys' arms like it's a simple dummy drill. -
I'm pretty sure every teams' goal is to win the cup.

Unbelievable. That Rangers/Yankees game was the definition of a choke job. I was wrong on the Lee vs Sabathia matchup, but Wilson did a fine job, and that's exactly what Texas needed except the relievers forgot to do their job and blew it in the last couple innings. They win this game, I think they win the series because I don't know if they can get another 5 runs against Sabathia again.

That was a really entertaining game; lots of momentum swings. I wish Komisarek would've done something worse in his retaliation to Avery. Giguere also came up huge right at the end of the third with that split second pad save.

Leafs are having a huge 2nd period, 3 unanswered goals and look like they got the Rags on their heels for the most part. Very good hustle. Looks like Gaborik got injured again. I didn't see what happened but it sounds like it happened earlier in the second.

Only reason why I like Valenti and Foster is because well, besides the fact that I love all sports and every one of our Detroit teams, I'm also hoping for that Valenti meltdown. The guy is hilarious when he gets pissed off. Right now is the perfect time with all the Michigan/State talk going on. -

I only get to listen to a little bit of valenti and foster on the way to work, but I don't listen to caputo and fithian anymore since the site's new radio stream page doesn't seem to work on my computer. Last year though I remember the Wings being talked about alot throughout the season on the caputo show. Actually all I really remember caputo and fithian talking about was the wings season and howard/ozzie, michigan state basketball and the tom izzo fiasco, and sometimes the pistons and how good jerebko is going to be. I guess keep tuning into them, sometimes ken kal joins the show. -

All of the other sports are much bigger, plus there are bigger stories going on right now for those said sports and people would rather talk about that. I don't listen to the morning show since I'm not up in time, and I can't stand karsch and anderson, but yes I hardly hear valenti and foster talk about hockey. Most of the hockey talk goes on during the evening when caputo and fithian start. -
That's strange. I could have sworn I typed in letsgowings.com and not letsgohabs.com.

I wonder if it's just the re-acquaintance. Watching them so far they do seem to do things uncharacteristically, and it looks like they're trying to get used to each other, figure out what they can do and what can't they do.
-
Well look on the bright side: At least we'll have the first pick. The future looks bright!
-
hahaha Hudler. Nice rising one-timer.
-
That's weird, he lasted three games from the beginning last year too...
-
Sadly, they had to euthanize him.
-
I hope so too. At least we can beat the Yankees, unlike the Twins...

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You do realize this is his sophomore year right? So everything you're basing his play off of is last year's play...or should I say, his rookie year. And he's not injury prone, it's just been unfortunate that he's suffered injuries this early in his pro career. He's been healthy his whole playing career up until a quarter of the way through the season last year, and then again in the latter part of the season. Last year he dislocates his kneecap (fluke), has a 300+ pound DT fall on him separating his non-throwing shoulder (probably corey williams), and this year Julius Peppers blows by Backus untouched and the same exact thing happens, except to his throwing shoulder. A person is not injury prone if these are his first injuries, so like I said, it's unfortunate. And no, they weren't upset that they couldn't draft Bradford, they were upset because they wanted to draft Aaron Curry with the first pick, which is ******* stupid, but leave it to most Lions fans to come up with this idea. Even if Bradford declared, you could flip a coin as to who we pick. Most people will say Bradford just because he had a better college career and had more hype, but the potential is higher in Stafford, since he ran his offense the whole time playing for Georgia and can make all the throws. If Bradford did declare, I honestly wouldn't care who we picked. I'd probably still give the edge to Stafford just on his confidence (or in your words, arrogance ) and potential alone. He would also fit our system better than Bradford, so who knows if Bradford would even work out here compared to St. Louis. Nobody said he is the next Peyton Manning. Who knows where you pulled that one from. Maybe you're thinking of how everybody thought he was a bust during the season, so the other crowd pointed out how even Peyton Manning had a bad rookie year. Not everybody can have a Matt Ryan rookie year. Never said we should rush him. I agree, unless Stafford is 100% healthy, keep Hill in for another week that way Stafford has 2 full weeks to heal and will be ready after the bye. And Hill hasn't "more than proved himself."I appreciate what Hill's done for the team, he's played hard, and that's what a good backup QB should do. But his only good game was against the Rams. He was horrible in week 1, I missed week 2 but looking at the stat sheet it looks the same on account of Best having a huge game (actually I did catch the end. I remember we recovered an onside kick and Hill threw 4 straight incompletions), week 3 Hill had some nice drives in the final quarter against Minnesota but resulted in him throwing 2 terrible picks in the red zone, and week 4 was more of the same, a couple nice drives and a couple momentum killing picks. It wasn't until last week he had a QB rating over 80. He's nothing more than a backup. He's a good backup and I'm glad we have him, but this is Stafford's team and I do believe that Stafford and Bradford will be great QB's in this league. Their talent says they can.
