It seems like whenever a player is shunned by an organization, or leaves on bad terms, and he meets that same team on another team, he always plays above the rim. No matter the sport. I look for Modano to have a nice game, say 1 goal and an assist. Who knows, maybe it'll come at a crucial time. No?

Teemu Pulkkinen is tearing it up with Helsinki Jokerit

What are they so worried about? I mean we have great young prospects in Tatar, Pulkkinen, Smith, Jarnkrok, Nestrasil, and possibly Kindl if he has a fine year, plus I think Almqvist is gonna be the best thing since sliced bread. I just have a good feeling about him. I also notice Dick Axelsson on that list. I thought we let him go because of his attitude?

That's the thing, they have terrible defense and no offense. Even if Lincecum pitches the way he did against the Braves, who have no offense themselves, I doubt Cain and Sanchez follow up. It'll be interesting though to see how well they perform, because I'd like to see them make the world series. They're a likable team. But with that Phillies offense, I can't see SF getting anything going offensively against the Phillies big 3 to keep it close. And outside of Cliff Lee getting 2 wins, which I believe he'll do, I can't see Wilson or anyone else doing much else against the Yankees. With that said, the only pitchers on the Yankees I'd trust would be Pettite, he always seems to get it done in the playoffs. I'd like Sabathia usually, but I believe he's going up against Lee, and I don't think he'll be able to win those matchups. So right there could be 2-2 series tie, so I think the Rangers do have a chance (hopefully). It'll be interesting to see who's offense will perform better. Either way, I think the Phillies are unstoppable.

All of this means jack. It implies a player won't be improved, rather he needs an increase in ice time to put up higher numbers. No, he'll have a career year if he stays healthy. btw, where the hell do you get these stats?

I think he got it from the Devils official site, found the matchup and clicked on "Stats." A tiny window pops up with options, and click on EVent Summary and that's what you get.

So who do you guys think will win it all? My money's on Philly. I don't think anyone's going to put runs up against them when they have to face Halladay-Oswalt-Hamels. I haven't seen a starting three of their calibre since Maddux-Glavine-Smoltz.

lol 10 years? Try 2-3. We're competitive now, and that's with our backup QB playing. I guarantee if Stafford wasn't hurt, we'd be at least 3-2 if not 4-1. Sad thing is, people want Shaun Hill to keep starting even when Stafford comes back, and that just shows how little they know of his talent and his potential, let alone how dumb that would be to let that big contract sit on the bench.

Datsyuk "Dangle Dangle" on Irbe in the '02 Finals

The first one I remember. He was struggling to score in the playoffs and was trying anything he could to get a goal. Would've been something else if he pulled it off. The second one he tried last season right?

I really don't think it's out of the question. As some already know he's increased his PPG average every year. Last year he scored 35 pts in 55 games played, bringing up his average to a career high .64 ppg. Had he played a full season he would've broke 50 pts. In the playoffs, he did even better, stepping up by scoring 9 pts in 12 games for an average of .75 ppg. All of this was mostly playing on the second line with better scorers. Let's say he picks up from where he left off from the playoffs (which so far, he is), he'll be on pace to break 60 points. So far after watching him, he looks confident and just looks overall much better than years past playing on that second line. Plus being 26, he's starting to enter those prime years which I believe this season we're going to see him break out. Mix that in with being on a line with Franzen and Bertuzzi, which is arguably our best line right now to some, and I think getting to or around 70 pts doesn't seem that far-fetched.

This is why I tried finding the Buffalo feed. Rick Jeanneret is one of my favorite commentators behind Ken and Mickey of course.

And why is that? Sure it may be a tad high, but when he's been increasing his points average every season, to finally looking like he put everything together during our post-olympic stretch and playoffs, I don't think it's unreasonable to think he could net an extra 10-15 points playing on a line with Franzen and Bert. Stop basing this "overreaction" off 2 gimme goals when in reality it's not out of the question when history backs the potential up.

haha that's what I got from this. You'd think for Kovy being in some fights already he would do better for his size.

    Four-year contract extenson for Babcock

We should extend his contract to 15 years. I wonder if that would be considered circumventing?

Man where the hell was I at? That PK totally flew by and the next set of commercials I'm thinking "Damn, how long are these gonna be?" Next thing I know Kindl's already on the bench and I didn't even know we killed the PP already.

Well I was part right in State's score. They played decent defense, just wish Nard was a little more accurate with his passes mainly those two horrible thrown passes on the slants in the red zone denying us 2 scores.
