The JVR-Pav-Kessel line has been creating the most scoring chances so far for USA. JVR's been everywhere. Need to see more intensity from everyone else though, lots of bad passes and no real consistent forechecking.

I couldn't watch it since NBCSP seems to be the only channel only showing blurred colored bars for some reason (it better work by 7:30 or I'll be pissed and I'll... I'll complain!), so I switched over to the women's SWE/FIN game which was really good.

I thought I read on here that Putin will be attending the game. I wonder how much of an affect on the Russian players it will have? Probably not any more than actually playing in your own country in front of your fans but still, the president showing up too? I really hope 'Murica crushes them. It's going to be a great game, I can't wait to watch it.

Saves the team nearly $12 mil. I'm sad to see Nate go, he was a reliable receiver and a good veteran leader. I was hoping the Lions would turn around and resign him to the veteran minimum but according to Burleson's agent, he's not coming back but will look to play elsewhere. Delmas I'm not too surprised about; I did feel he made the defense a little better but he wasn't living up to his contract IMO. I also noticed the Lions are going to keep Cunningham. His new position is Senior Assistant and will be focusing on personnel.

Ya I like Hiller's a lot.

I remember this female reporter that had a stroke on air and didn't even know it a couple years ago. From her perspective, nothing was wrong and she was doing her job, but to the viewers and people associated with her, she was saying things like "heavy bertation" and speaking gibberish. It was pretty scary, I've never seen something like that before and always thought a stroke meant half of your body was unfunctional. Thankfully she's ok afaik, and thankfully it sounds like Letang will be alright and it won't be career ending.

We're in rare company! I absolutely love defense, and while I'm kinda forced to play center in club games, the past month or two I'd force my friends to play center so I can enjoy the intricacies of shutting down the opposing team. Also, when no club mates are on, playing D was the only sure-fire win for me in team lobbies or drop-ins for easily getting to legend. Lately though, as in the past week lately, I started to try out goalie and I'm loving that as well. It's a much different challenge that I'd like to get better at to make it even more enjoyable. I guess I just really like keeping the puck out of the net more than I do scoring points.

I don't know, looking at their numbers they've been pretty even, and even this season Eaves is on pace for about the same as what Miller is at right now.
