Definitely a growing pains type of game of the youngsters. There's just no game changers in the lineup tonight.

The east is terrible this year. I'm thinking it will be one of those 88 point 8th seed years. So that's a solid 17-15 record. Or if you'd like 13-11-8. Nice .530 hockey.

Wow, rough game. Glad I was out most of the night. Are there any time tables on any of these injured players? Pavs might go Wed, and Weiss is out until after the Olympics. What about the others?

The east isn't as good of a conference as the west. Stop trying to claim otherwise. The east isn't filled with "tougher" teams either, so don't play that card. Also, the Wings have 66% of their top 6 out. Their #2 D man is out. You can't compare a Stamkos injury to having 7 of your regulars out of the lineup.

This is a good start for the Oil. Now they need to trade some of their under achieving forwards for solid D players. Something like Eberle for Bogosian, or Yakupov for Seabrook. -
What? Sammy has 3 points in 24 games and is a -4. He's OBVIOUSLY the best choice as the extra attacker.

I guess that's why Edmonton is so bad. Young players making young player mistakes. If Franzen, Helm, and Weiss can come back and play the way they are capable of playing then this team is deadly. The Wings are in dire need of offence. Their defense is playing well enough to win, but that offence is stale and predictable.
