This team is trying their best to fall out of a playoff spot.

They were 2nd in the league for half the season. Their strong possession numbers were driven by faceoff wins. A large offensive strategy was to just throw it on goal, and get an offensive zone faceoff and the carry possession.

Holland should call up Blashill for a couple of games, see what he has in him. Sit Babcock in the pressbox.

The Leafs went 4-10-1 last March during their regular season collapse. The Wings are currently 4-7-1 in March. They are Leafing their way right out of the playoffs.

This current slump is some of the worst hockey I've seen them play in the past 10 years.

That's where they found success most of the season. It's not the same as the Kings forcheck, it's mostly a speed/hustle forcheck.

This team is good at 2 things: speed and forcheck. Opponents are doing a good job of taking away those two strengths. Detroit has nothing else to fall back on to compensate.

It's hard to take a pass when it's 2 feet behind you.

Detroit has become just awful at passing. It's been a problem most of the season.

People like to blame Weiss for the 1st shorty, but he bobbled a s*** pass in the neutral zone. I blame the pass. The 2nd shorty was all on weiss.
