It's not the fact that they beat the Wings 2 years in a row (well, it is a little) it's the diving that really pissed me off.

Fil has looked a little more driven on offense this year. His skating has always been good, but he seems a step quicker, and his hands a bit better. He even took a slapper the other night, it was bananas. If all the Wings keep playing with desire like they have been then I think he'll have a career year.

I'm conflicted... I hate the Ducks, but my god do I hate San Jose.

Mike Commodore has played 0 regular season games this year and he automagically gets placed ahead of Ericsson on the depth chart? An Ericsson who is currently at a +5. Commodore got cut from CBJ....I'm going to have to say it again, he got cut from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Sure, he's looked ok in PS and Detroit is fairly successful with reclamation projects, but c'mon. I guess the masses just need someone to focus on and hate, and with Hudler playing pretty well so far they have no one else to turn to.

The thing that has really stuck out at me over the last two games is team speed. With the loss of some older guys, and the addition of White, Emmerton, and Kindl this team looks a lot faster. The slowest guy is Bert, but even he looks like there's a little extra jump in his step. I think this extra speed will really pay off. I think it will greatly reduce the time we spend in our own zone and add to our puck possession.

They've looked pretty lackluster all game until the end of the 2nd. Hopefully Franzen's goal energizes them. You can tell it's game 2 of the season coming off a back to back.

The most impressive people to me (from the couple games I've seen) so far are: Bruunstrom Nyquist Kindl

White has looked comfortable and mobile. Made some good pinches, and outlet passes. Nyquist has looked great. I think he could be a starter this season, but that won't happen. He had a sweet little move for a goal in the second and has made things happen almost everytime he's on the ice.

I'm using Google Chrome 1.4 with flash 10.3.183.10 and it's been flawless for me. If Nyquist isn't on the roster next season I'll be surprised. He looks like the real deal.

I thought Kindl looked like the best defender on the Wings last night.

I've always thought he was by far the best announcer because of his tone and inflection.

It looks pretty clear to me that Nashville can walk away. However, they still have 15.6 mil of cap space available and walking away would be retarded. I think Nashville was just trying to get Weber on the cheap, which backfired (still they did save 1 million). Oops. I though the 15.6 million was without signing Weber, but that's WITH Weber. I couldn't imagine if the Wings had that kind of cap space.

One of the coaches is the NHL 11 assistant coach AI. Expect to see shift times increase to ~5 minutes.
