The coach. But the coach can't play for the players.

It was the players who lost the game for themselves. Not the coach. Just about any inconsistency can be blamed on the coach, but the fact is most of those issues have to do with the guys who actually are paid to do the work out there.

Don't give me this "coach didn't motivate them enough" garbage. It's game seven. Get the f*** out of the NHL if you need a coach to motivate you.

It wasn't about coaching. It was about who decided to show up and play. Max Talbot decided to outperform just about every Red Wing in the most important game of the season. It had nothing to do with talent.

So you're implying that the wings weren't motivated? Who gets paid to not play, but to drill and motivate?

Pittsburgh had a plethora of talent wasting away on Therrien's system. They could have hired ******* Dave Lewis and they would have a similar record.

Talent...yes, but are you saying that the 09 Penguins team was more talented than the 09 wings team? I'd say no.

That being the case, if a terrible coach could out coach Babcock with an equally talented team, then what does that say about Babs?

Well, one can only hope that Babs ripped them all a new ******* in the room during the break. This kind of play has to stop.

I've really been questioning his coaching since TMac left. He was out coached by Dan Bylsma for christ sakes.

The haven't had intensity since the Shanny days.

Physical intensity, no. But the 08 team had skilled intensity. The opponents rarely had the puck because detroit was focused and determined.

Why can't we ever play with intensity? Why does the other team always come out firing and we look sluggish? What the freaking heck is wrong with this team?

They aren't good. That's why.
