Throwing an idea out there. No need to be a name caller. -

Pulkkinen has has 23 points in 18 games. (9g, 14a) His trade value is at an all time high. Maybe him, Kindl, and a pick for a top four D. -
signed Quincey re-signed by DET. 2 yr s $4.25 mill AAV

NHL Draft 2014: Rounds 2-7 **MOD WARNING POST 51**
RedFlag85 replied to Datsyukian-Deke's topic in General
I actually quite like this draft so far. 3 centers seems like a lot, but in a few years they'll be needed in our system. I like taking a goalie semi late in the draft as well. That Finnish lw looks like he had a decent year. Anyone know his actual height? NHL.com says 6'2", TSN says 6'5". -

Anyone know the details of the trade? -
Debatable, but his antics might keep him from being picked this round. Honka and Dougherty likely will be picked before him.
-
I think Haydn Fleury is the number two D-Man in the draft, with DeAngelo, and Honka close behind. Fleury is 6'3" and 205 pounds, the latter two are under 6'.
-
Tuch, Larkin, McCann, and Milano are my top four for the Wings at 15. Honestly, though I kinda want to trade the pick for some help on the back end. Either that, or trade down to aquire a 2nd round pick.
-
This. A Warrior through, and through.
-
If he'll accept a one year deal, yes.
-
In his case yes. He's going on 35, with 5 more years on his contract. He's declining, and will continue to do so, plain, and simple. Will he be worth 4 million per year at 38-40 years old? Highly doubt it. If you're lucky you may get one more 50 point season out of him. Keep in mind he's never had more than 59 points in a season. He's also had quite a few injuries over the last few years, including concussions. Besides the reasons I've listed above, he is lazy, and unreliable. Tell me, if you were the GM of another team, what would you give up to get Franzen?
-
Fil is a Center, and a good bit younger than Franzen, plus, we let him walk, so I don't see why you're comparing the two. Franzen is a lazy one dimensional player, and contrary to the Wings' system. I'd rather invest 4mil elswhere.
-
This playoff series was the last straw. Trade him if you can, buy him out if you can't. Should be a no brainer. We'll see.
-
I'd try out for the Halifax Highlanders.
-
I agree, assuming our roster stays the same.
-
Maybe not 100 points but in 09 he came damn close: 45 goals, and 49 assists for 94 points.
-
Still no decision from Suter. Speculation abounds.

I got a bad feeling about Suter. I can only come to the conclusion that he is trying to end up where Parise ends up. -
List of why Zach Parise and Ryan Suter should choose the Red Wings...

Who do you blame for this unsuccessfully playoff run
RedFlag85 replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
Holland: Didn't do enough at the deadline. The, "I like our team" schtick got us this year. The whole team seemed to lack enthusiasm, and couldn't fight through adversity. They didn't want to have to work for it. Especially... Franzen: Watched him float around aimlessly, and cherry pick the blue line for six months, expecting him to go Hulk mode in Playoffs. Didn't happen. Not gonna blame Babs, he didn't have the personnel to compete, and has hinted at this throughout the series, and even around the trade deadline. -
Philly. Peter Laviolette and Co. kinda sold me from this past year's 24/7 series on HBO. Seems like they're a tight group.
-
He'll be back if Holland can guarantee that we'll pick up some help. *cough Parise/Suter cough*. He'll be back, and if not I'm humbled to say I saw his last game at The Joe.
