I think you might be seeing Ozzie play at least two of the remaining games. If Ozzie plays good, then he plays good. Still Howard will be our goalie for the playoffs. Even though we all know how awesome Ozzie is when it comes to the playoffs!!

After looking at the points, what is the realistic chance that we can actually be higher than a 7 seed?

At the end of the conference final, it was pretty much made clear who was going to take over the C when Lids was hurt and Z went to accept the trophy. So it has to be the following: C - Z A - Pav A - Kronner/Mule Stuart will not be resinging as a red wing when his contract is up. I really don't see Raffy as a complete team leader even though he has a lot of experience. Another two guys you could throw in the mix I think is Filppula or Helm. And is it time you could even throw a 'A' on Homers jersey???

Heres some food for thought. Looking at other forums online this guy from Pittsburgh made a pretty great point. He said that when Crosby is out, Malkin produces so much. But when Malkin is out, Crosby doesn't really do s***. If Crosby is the great hockey player everyone says he is, shouldn't he perform without having the other star player by his side?

Say we do end up playing PHX in the playoffs, as a former resident there, any idea what the ice conditions would be in there at the middle of april? Gets pretty toasty down there early in the spring...

Sidney Crosbys GWG I think was luck. To me it looked like it surprised Miller. Just because he is "god" in Canada doesn't mean he's like a god here. I still hate him..

I am happy for Canada, all though everyone could possibly agree anyone could of scored that last goal OTHER than Sidney Crosby. We all know we will be hearing that for the next few months. I have to go with Russia in this game. I think they are the more physical and definitely have a better offense. I believe the score will be close, but Russia will dominate most of the game. And besides, I would like to see Pav bring home an Olympic medal.

Yeah I just mean his appearance, he looks like he's pushing 60 on the live shot of him. But overall, looks like he could still be playing in the NHL for sure.

Has to be whoever your cable or satellite provider is. I never have any of those problems watching Olympic hockey..

A few friends and I were in the garage talking hockey as we usually do. And this question came up. Is Alexander Ovechkin ever going to break Wayne Gretzkys scoring and points record, or is it just a matter of time before he breaks it? It's a pretty interesting topic if you think about it. Just want to know what everyones opinion is.

Finally someone I kind of agree with! Instead of putting Lebda in that trade, I would put in Stuart instead, that is if anyone wants him. Stuart has 2 goals, 9 assists, and a -14 on the season, and is getting paid 3.75 million a year, would be nice to see him go personally. To me he turns the puck over in our zone way to much and he seems to be out of position 7 our of 10 times. Just don't know the extent of his contract if he has a NTC in there or not. And anyone know if Tatar is ready for the NHL level yet? Be sweet to see him with the winged wheel on his chest sooner than later.

I think a combination of players like Stuart, Williams, Bertuzzi, and someone like May or Maltby could clear enough room for a top 6 winger.

There is actually talk on here about Babcock should not be the red wings coach? If anyone knew anything about hockey, its a lot about chemistry. So lets see, there were 6 guys out at once, which is all kinds, it breaks up chemistry. Guys like Datsyuk and Zetterbergs numbers suffer because they don't have that chemistry. On top of that, when you have to change every single line game in and game out due to injuries, its hard to get use to playing with new people. Then that suffers your production from all your lines. It's one big chain reaction. Once everyone is back, and Stuart learns how to play some D and Ozzie gets back to his winning ways, The wings should be looking good before the playoffs and Babcock will be in Detroit for quite a few years.
