Hate to play grammar police and by no means is my grammar always 100% correct, but this is just a pet peeve of mine... we are all suppose to learn this in the 2nd or 3rd grade, it's the schools responsibility to teach the American people the basics, even if you dropped out of school you should still understand the difference of "your" and "you're". Solid 60 minute effort by the Wings tonight. Not a bad grueling road trip. Managed to get 6 points out of a possible 10 against some of the hottest teams in the league. Not bad!

Penguins lose to one of the worse teams in NHL and the media (NHL.com) are still sucking off the Pens and Crosby. Lol. "red-hot Sid still hot after loss" LMFAO... they just lost to one of the worse teams in the NHL and they're still getting their dik suked.

Penguins are playing decent like they should, but are extremely overrated and hyped by the media. Penguins are completely overrated but people refuse to look at the facts. What teams have Penguins faced that are challenging? The Islanders? The Panthers? The Hurricanes? The Maple Leafs? The Canadians? Not very challenging teams to say the least... Pens are 1-1 against decent teams. Penguins beat the Rangers in the opening season (with home ice advantage none-the-less) and lost to the Coyotes. Penguins would have a very, very different record/standing if they have faced teams that are playing good hockey right now. Pens have not faced the Kings yet Pens have not faced Chicago yet Pens have not faced the Avs yet Pens have not faced San Jose yet Pens have not faced the Capitals yet Pens have not faced the Sabres yet Pens have not faced the Wings yet (While the Red Wings faced nearly every hot team so far this season) .... and guess what, Penguins get to face the Wild tonight--WHOOP!--another none contender team that's not playing good hockey. But the media will make it sound like the Penguins just defeated the team of a life time, and overrated the Win like it's phenomenal. Penguins success is their lucky (easy) schedule. Switch the schedule with the Red Wings and you'll see the Wings getting a bunch of "W". Don't be sheep and look at the facts from an objective standpoint. Penguins are just winning games that any decent team should win.

Leino has a 2-year contract. He cannot leave after this season. That said, I don't get all the Leino bashing in this thread. He's a rookie scorer who's only a $775,000 yearly cap hit. He's WELL worth the money. Think about it, we could have Meech filling his void. Leino > Meech. Get real folks.

Lids needs to lead by example, but after a couple god-awful giveaways by Listrom and bonehead plays, I hope nobody follows his style-of-play. He's been brutal compared to the Nick we know. Lids needs to be our best player game in, game out. He has not been.

I like that Babcock is being a hard ass and sending a message. He was sending a message yesterday by not pulling Howard. 1). he was letting Howard sweat it out in a do-or-die situation 2). he was allowing the Red Wings get embarrassed as a whole 3). he was sending a message to Osgood Now this comment he made about Leino should get Leino's blood flowing, plus shows the entire team that they are expandable if they don't want to play. I like it.

The only complaint I have about Howard (so far) is his rebound control. He's making the first, 2 (and 3) shots... but with the Wings inability to clear the puck and Howard scrummaging around trying to catch the puck, boom... it's in the back of the net. If Howard doesn't allow rebounds, he'd be really-really amazing. So yeah, his rebound control wasn't so good yesterday. If there were no rebounds, there'd be no goals in his net.

The Wings are worse in current points in the 11 games than they are playing. The Wings are doing okay. Check this out, the Detroit Red Wings have earned 4pts out of a possible 8pts on this grueling western road trip against some of the hottest teams and goalies in the league right now (Bryzgalov, Anderson and Luongo) Wings got 50% of the possible points so far on the road. That's not bad at all... especially against the hottest teams in the league. The Wings are playing more determined hockey than I have seen them play since 2008 when we won the cup. Adversity isn't a bad thing. Not facing adversity can be a bad thing. Wings are fine.

Like I said, I'm not dissing the guy. He was the perfect guy after Schneider. My point (which is moot since he has a NTC) was with Kronwall and Ericsson rocking, we could use more of a tough as nails - stay at home - defensemen. That's just my 2 cents. Again, I'm not s***ting on Ralfi. Either way, doesn't matter, NTC.

Can we trade Ralfi or does he have a NTC? Not sure anyone would take him and his contract anyhow... But honestly, I think he's the soft dman that we don't need + with Big Rig and Kronwall, we don't need his offensive talents anymore (at the cost of his softness/contract). I was never a Ralfi hater or am I know. I was glad to see him come here and he's helped this team tremedously, I just think it's time to part ways especially since we have Jwilly to cover on the point, Ericsson is coming alive with offense and Kronwall is an absolute machine.

I doubt Holland will make any trades and I doubt we'll see Ritola called up. I suspect we'll just move Helm up and if Eaves plays good, he'll be moved up also. Expect to see Maltby called back up.
