haha yeah well I guess they first have to get these out to the market to start. Then maybe they'll start coming out with other skates. Might have to wait a while for goalie skates though
-
Yeah, from what I understand, a big thing about the skates is the fact that they are using a new, different type of material in the boot that allows it to mold easier, and better to the foot. I think that the NHLers so far like them because all of the ones that have switched to them, have stuck with them and have not gone back to their old skates.
-
Yeah that's what a lot of people originally thought, but then the word stared spreading how they were a new type of skates, the same one's Gonchar has been wearing since last year except Gonchar's are all black.
-
Hey, I'm not sure if anyone else has gone back to the site after signing up, but its a full site now, not just the sign up sheet. Its got a lot of info about the skates and the company.

Is it just me or does this just make Burke look like a more superior or smarter GM for going after Phaneuf when everyone else thought he was untouchable?

I find better luck when I shave. I'm anti-playoff beard.

First of all...You spelled PittsburgH wrong. Anyway, the Pens made the playoffs and won the cup because they turned themselves around and were the hottest team in the NHL from February - June. For 3 years, the Pens did the same thing. Slow starts and turned it up like 3 notches in February. Regardless, yes Detroit could do the same thing, but Pittsburgh took chances and made trades and personnel changes to make it happen. Will Detroit do that? Probably not.

John Tavares - Still a strong Calder Trophy Candidate?
Datsasuk replied to Playtawk's topic in General
Tavares will always be a candidate and will be in the mix because he was the #1 pick, but there are definitely stronger candidates out there who have been mentioned in the thread already. -
That could be said about the entire Canucks team...
-
Very important to a situation like this. It just shows how professional both guys are and how much of a veteran Ozzie is. Howard can learn a lot from Ozzie and it seems like he already is.
-
Well, for anyone that gets picked, give an update on whether you like them or not.
-
I actually think they look pretty sweet. Aesthetically, they are a good mix between simple and flashy. Not too much of either one.
-
That's good that he made that known now, so that his future isn't as much of a distraction this year.
-
I agree, try to send him somewhere else. Extremely low class.

Bettman says solving hits to the head will take time
Datsasuk replied to CenterIce's topic in General
I know it's not a hit to the head, but I'm sure you guys saw that Sutton hit on Dupuis the other night. That thing was nasty, and there have been similar hits/injuries like once a week all season. The hits from behind NEEEED to be addressed and taken care of as well. Someone is going to end up with a broken neck. -
Solid player to have around if price isn't an issue.
-
Sorry dude, but I think that Kovalchuck is gonna try to get close to the league maximum if he tests free agency. 7 million is the least that he'll get, probably looking to make closer to 10.
-
I saw it at the NHL Entry draft in 1997 (8)? in Pittsburgh and at the HHOF a couple of times. It's really a great piece of hardware.
-
This is very true. I honestly think a goalie system is the best thing for this team to have right now. 1 of 2 things can happen with Howard. He either matures into a solid #1 guy or he slumps after his rookie year. Having Ozzie around for insurance is a good thing until we find out Howard's fate.
-
Did they even catch the guy? None of the reports I read indicated that he was caught.
-
Without getting caught up in what happened, I agree. This guy spent a long time in prison for what he did, so hopefully he makes the best of his opportunity.
-
Definitely a solid choice, it's already been said but hard to argue.
-
Mike Vernon and Chris Osgood, haha
-
I can't say that this surprises me, but I would have liked to see Bill Guerin make the team. I think his leadership and finishing touch would be a nice addition. He's been playing relatively well in Pittsburgh. But I guess he wouldn't have Crosby and Malkin feeding him in the Olympics.
-
This is trouble for the Penguins. Kunitz was playing pretty well before the injury and is a quiet but important guy in the top 6.
