Vokoun is honestly the most underrated goalie in the league. On Nashville and Florida, he's the only reason why his team EVER wins a game. If he were to ever go to a cup contender... he'd be vicious. I'd love to have him here. With Detroit's D and his goaltending...

Go look at the replay of the goal. He lifts his leg, and banks it with a pretty obvious kicking motion towards the goal.

That goal was kicked in. Extremely obviously as well. Guess that the kicking rule will be a controversy again for a week.

Pittsburgh's population, if I'm not mistaken, is quite a bit larger than Detroit's now. Not really fair to compare that. The finals this year are higher than last because people are sick of Detroit winning and people are sick of Crosby.

Despite some Hawks fans being s***, I'm rooting for them 100%. I don't get why everyone hates Quenville. He's a great coach, who finally has a good team in front of him... and didn't have to play the Wings... He's deserved this chance for a long time.

Kindl - Ericcson is a terrible pairing. Neither one are very strong in the defense category. Kindl makes Lebda look like Lidstrom. I think if we let Lilja go, bring up Janik. He was a perfect piece when everyone was out, and we can sign him for next to nothing to be our 6th, and have Kindl be the 7th.

True, but notice how that didn't happen to anyone else? Bettman's marketing of the Kid made those reporters act like assholes. They should have been fined for not waiting until the handshakes were over. And, if Crosby was a respectful person, the first game where Detroit and Pittsburgh played each other in the 09 season, he should have shook Lids' hand.

I think it's about marketing more than one player. Market players from different teams. Give all the teams in the league some of that marketing revenue, instead of just the Penguins. Phoenix would probably be doing better if they marketed Doan like they do Crosby.

That's the fact of the matter. People who don't watch hockey think he's a ******. Marketing isn't simply about his skills. He's a whiner, a sorry excuse for a captain and a sore loser. He has no respect for the game, and he is a cheap player. He makes Ovechkin look clean by comparison. He's got it in his head that he is a god, and he does what he wants because of it. Not a good marketing strategy to have someone people react with hatred to.

I really believe the Montreal riot was BECAUSE of the whole "Crosby is Jesus Christ on Ice" and they beat him. I've yet to meet ANYONE who lives in a Hockey market outside of Pittsburgh who is now an NHL fan. The whole "CROSBY, CROSBY, CROSBY" s*** is making trouble for the entire league. It's supposed to bring IN fans, but instead, more and more fans have stopped watching hockey entirely. Market players from a specific team in their area. When Sid is on tv more often then Luongo is in Vancouver, it's not helping. AT ALL

The thing is they don't have to be the best in the LEAGUE. Market more than just one team. Pittsburgh makes money from Crosby. How does that help other struggling teams?

I really hope we can bring him in as the defence coach. Aside from Lids, who better could we have there.

I think it's that the elite goalies are getting old and we hadn't seen anyone to take the role from them. Halak, Howard, Rask and Neimi are showing that they can play and showing they may have the ability to become the new Roy, Hasek, etc.

The Blue Jackets and the Islanders should stay. As far as the others, move them to where they were from, or new cities that have proven hockey interest.

They're both RFA. Doesn't that mean we get compensation if we lose one? About Jimmy, I think it's more important we look for a replacement to Ozzie. If he doesn't retire this year, I bet next year is his last. And No to Shea. That's an insult to our organization. "Hey Shea, thanks for putting one of our guys out for a year. Want to play for us?"

Or move the Panthers to Seattle and/or Portland, so the folks there can stop supporting the Nucks/california teams. I think it's funny. The Jet's last game in Winnipeg was a loss in the playoffs to Detroit. I'd love if Winnipeg is back for next year. Thus Phoenix's last game was a loss in the playoffs to Detroit.

It seems people are putting a lot on Kindl being great next year. He seems to be getting Leino-like levels of excitement. Can someone please explain why? Every time I have seen him, or found clips, he is a clone of Mike Green, but with less offensive capabilities. We rip Raffi apart for his mistakes, this guy will make Ericsson look like Lidstrom by comparison. I'd rather keep Janik, just saying.

I'd rather not have another Leino around here. "Put me in, or else" This McIlrath kid does sound pretty kick ass, we'll see how it comes out though.
