Considering that 80k is a decent pay in America, and even 40k US is over 4 million Kronners, I think that the 80k would be enough to suffice.

I don't think I even want this guy to play for us anymore. Although if we pulled him up for a game or two, put him with Z, maybe the fellow swedes could smack some sense into this moron.

Check the stats. When Z and D were playing together recently, they didn't do very well. In fact, we got shut out by St. Louis. Split up? We won 3 straight. They're better apart.

It was VERY close to that, only it did NOT say Vancouver, it was the blue with green trimmings and the Canucks logo was round, fitting into what normally would be the wheel of the Wings logo. My roommate (huge nucks fan) said it's probably a custom made jersey, for a person who is a fan of both the Nucks and Wings.

I hate this argument. I've heard it used SO many times. Since when are we comparing OURSELVES to these professional athletes? We're not. We're comparing them to OTHER professional athletes. It's like saying Brodeur is good, people will never say 'but you suck compared to Brodeur'. Only when people point out that an athlete is weaker than another does this stupid argument come out. It's a stupid argument which really makes no difference. I'm no pro athlete, I don't have the skills. If a pro sucks, he sucks compared to other pros, not the person mentioning he sucks.

No, it didn't look like that. The Wings logo was a blue colour, with the wheel being replaced by the old canuck logo. And if it was a Sammy fan, it could alternatively be a Bert fan

I think it's interesting that all those goalies, considered some of the greatest of all time, took longer to reach their win record, and their GAA is worse than Osgood's.

Why can the Preds get away with full body tackles?

We have to keep him, and I think we should keep Miller as well. Imagine, when Drapes retires, Eaves/Helm/Miller (not sure on positions). We have a revival of the grind line from the 90's. Speaking of... anyone else think we're rebuilding this team as a carbon copy of the 97/98 teams? I see so many players that are identical in playing style to former players. Babcock is like Bowman 2.0, Z is Y 2.0, Dats is Feds...

I love how he's been playing. I think he's been far overdue to join the Wings, but having Osgood around to mentor him is absolutely going to help him in the long run. This kid has so much potential, and I hope he makes the most of the tools he has.

(sorry for the double post) So we should really be getting rid of Zetterberg, Dats, Lids. Hell, we have to get rid of the whole team. They sucked it up, they're gone right? I don't remember Stuart being terrible in game 7. I just remember us not doing squat. Game 6 had the stanley cup wrapped in a nice box for us and we just watched paint dry instead.

I think Cleary should get the A as well.

After watching tonight's game, I'm beginning to notice that this team isn't as bad as everyone is saying. We've got the tools to be one of the more dominant teams in the league, it's just a matter of using them, and getting players to play up to their potential. Bertuzzi and Leino tonight were good examples of what I mean. Bertuzzi was once one of the most dominant players in the league. After the moore incident, he seems to have lost a step, but it's not like he's 45. The guy still has a few more years, it's just a matter of him getting over the past and playing how he is capable. I don't believe he will ever truly be AS good, but if he gets close... he'll be a steal Leino, being a rookie, is going to have a hard time adjusting to our team, and he has to completely buy into the system. For those who claim Babcock isn't a good coach, you have to realize how hard it is to make these offensive minded players play in our style. He's been exceptional at that, which is amazing. As Leino grows more comfortable playing the Wings style of hockey, he'll become a much more invaluable player. There are so many players on our team who are capable of being dominant who aren't. Dats, Z, Lids, Raffi, and Ozzie are the players we need to step up the most, and if they can, then all the new faces, and ESPECIALLY our rookies will learn and will take over. I'm excited to see how our new faces turn out in the coming weeks, months and years.
