Understatement of the year. I've been saying for a long time, Stuart is our BEST defensive d-man. Sure he makes a few mistakes, but he's been crucified for his few mistakes, while no one ever notices the amazing plays he makes.

If he even gets close to that level... I would be ecstatic. This team has a lot of POTENTIAL talent, it's just hard to get them all to get there.

I like Bert, and I've been hoping for him to start putting in all those posts he's been hitting. If he can keep it up, he'll be a HUGE steal at his price tag.

Bert looked more like himself from back in the Canuck days, when he was one of the best players. If he can get himself back to even CLOSE that level again, for the price we're paying him... he'll be the biggest steal in history.

How big of an impact would Hudler be having on this season's team.

I actually agree with Carman. Every time people see this, they're laughing. If Bettman wants to make the NHL really popular again, he'll take out the favouritism, the silly unprofessional things, make this league play like adults.

Waive him and bring up Janik. That's the simple, best solution. The few times Janik has been up, he has played extremely well, and I believe he earned a roster spot, more so then beavis and butthead back there....

He only will if he gets better stats and we get a higher rank. If we come in 1-3 overall, he'll have a shot... MAYBE. He'll still probably be screwed because 'we have the best defense in the league'. Ironic that our goalies are only ever good because of our D, but Brodeur was always good because of himself.

Conversely, you could have the Wings play a season IN Windsor as they did almost 100 years ago... Even with a smaller arena, they'd guarantee to sell out every game. Toronto's fan base would look pathetic if the Wings were in Windsor.

I seem to remember that as well. Dats and Z are close friends, and Dats doesn't really have ANYTHING in Russia (he's an orphan remember)

I agree. Gretzky is a pretty terrible coach. Phoenix has had some good teams, but they always were terrible under him. This year, they look pretty good, and he's not their coach...

I'm talking more about some of our other prospects. I could be wrong, but I just have never seen Flip being that amazing.

That'd be a terrible line.... Thornton and Datsyuk? Who would SCORE?

I kinda have to agree. Flip is overpaid, and people here like him more than he is worth. I have yet to see anything from him that shows me he's some future superstar. I see him being a great 3rd line centre... but he'll never break the top 6 the way other players here could.
