SCF: Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks

Ok, the rioting is disgusting and shows what tools the Canucks fans are, but this video is friggen hilarious.

    Also infuriating.

SCF: Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks

Just shows how absolutely classless a lot of fans are. I'd be happy if a meteor somehow struck Vancouver, as long as the Bruins are already out of the city.

    Scoring isn't really the Issue

No one said he was an 80+ point player, and I think only 1 person on this entire board thinks that. Fil gets paid 3 million after 5 seasons, Dats gets paid twice as much. Dats has about twice as many points as Fil... The numbers seem to add up pretty well to me. Fil's production is just about right on for a 2nd line center with above average defensive play. This is also not looking at the linemates both have played with, as Dat's linesmates have been substantially better.

    Hudler's Future

Just because Franzen was terrible for the majority of the season doesn't mean that Hudler wasn't terrible. They were both bad throughout most of the season/post-season. Overall second-line worthy? You can't honestly believe this right?

    Post-Rafalski summer deals

Rafalski retiring makes this summer much different than we all expected. A trade or two is likely to be made, and that could change the team drastically depending on who's traded. My question is, who REALISTICALLY could be traded? Is anyone outside of Dats and Z safe? I know some players have no trade clauses so they're not going anywhere, but after the playoffs I think it'd be hard for them to trade a player like Fil or Bert (think Bert has a NTC anyway). So who's safe and who should be worried?

WCSF Game 7 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Sharks 3

Go find a different team, you seem like the type of "fan" jumps to whichever bandwagon is doing the best.

WCSF Game 5 GDT: Red Wings 4 at Sharks 3

Nah, I rewinded on the dvr and Fil clearly touched it with his stick.

Do you even watch hockey? Your posts insinuate that you don't.

Franzen and Hudler can make even Dats look bad >.>

    Ice time

I've questioned decisions made by Babcock this entire series. He broke up Fil and Dats who had amazing chemistry, he refuses to bring back Modano even though he deserves a chance more than 50% of this team. He continues to pair Franzen with Dats even though Franzen hasn't had chemistry with anyone. Cleary has still been getting a lot of ice time that has been wasted. Like you said, defensive pairings have been crap. This was arguably the most important game of the season, and he made mediocre at best decisions. In response to your edit. Fil played amazing in the first series, then has been paired with Huds and Franzen, two of the worst players in the playoffs (and regular season for that matter). Not entirely fair to put blame on him, at least not as much as the other two.

Was there a goal missed yesterday? (game 2)

    Fixed

    Abdelkader

98% of the NHL isn't as good as Dats... To answer your question, he's at -3, so he's obviously not performing well. That, however, can be said about 75% of the team.

Was there a goal missed yesterday? (game 2)

Yeah but then there'd be a penalty against Detroit in the first 15 seconds which the Sharks would score on.

    Not to be an A-hole

Right, but the changes you're talking about (at least about Fil) aren't where the problems are. Fil's play in this series hasn't been as good as it should be, but there are only 2 Wings that I can't say that about. Fil had amazing production in the first round, and when EVERYONE steps up their play, I'll put money on that Fil will be one of the top producers on the Wings in the playoffs.

    Not to be an A-hole

Putting Val in the same boat as Hudler is basically like saying you didn't pay attention to the majority of the season/postseason. Val wasn't great after returning from his injury, but he was still leaps and bounds better than Hudler overall.

    Not to be an A-hole

I've come to the conclusion that some people just flat out ignore some player's performance solely so they can come to these forums and complain about them. There are a few players who aren't pulling their weight on this team right now. Fil is not one of them. How about we put him and Dats back together because they've had more chemistry these playoffs than any other players.

WCQF Game 4 GDT: Red Wings 6 at Coyotes 3

Putting Modano on top line with Dats is incredibly frustrating. He doesn't deserve that chance yet.

WCQF Game 2 GDT: Coyotes 3 at Red Wings 4

To be fair, a couple of the penalties were legit. Bert's penalty, which led to a goal, was pretty obvious.

Detroit scores the next goal but it gets called off. You heard it here first.

    Valtteri Filppula watch thread

I wonder if bringing up his brother would light a fire in Val. No one likes to be shown up by their brother To be fair, Hudler has played more games, and Val hasn't played with Dats really at all this season. Hudler has also gotten PP time whereas I haven't seen Val out on the PP much if at all since he's been back. Also, I thought Huds was supposed to be a goal scorer? Why does he only have 8 goals, whereas Val has 13?

    Is this the end?

This was a joke, right...? Fil(even though he hasn't done too much in the points department since being back) and Hudler have been 2 of our best players...
