the problem was that we never attacked on the rush. we would gain the blue line then spin back and wait for more players to enter the zone. This happens literally every time we bring the puck in. What the coyotes are doing is gaining the zone and going deep and getting shots with guys coming in still to grab rebounds real fast. We try to set up some sort of pp formation.

Sheahan will be up and down next year with injuries because of his size. Prolly up full time in 2 years or earlier if his scoring touch appears. Andersson is same story but less potential upside. Tatar will plug in for top 6 injuries. Only way tatar is up next season is if we trade roster players cause we already have so many. THIS. Parise and prust are the perfect fit imo. If possible grab these guys fast. Suter would be nice but not as likely.

Ya lu wont command all that much on the market at this point. If van decides they are moving him then they will have to settle for something undervalue coming back as they cant afford to have 2 goalies on big contracts and other teams know this. Add to that lu's age to contract ratio and his enotional baggage and u arent getting much back.

Yeah thats pretty solid in my mind. My bet is we will see something like this going into next season, I just don't think we will land Parise or Suter (Holland has lost his clutchness). Would be nice to have Prust in the fold for the bottom six and maybe see cleary go but thats just me.

I think Franzen would be going back in a deal for perry along with Fil (they desperately need a great second line center) and then add on like Tatar or Abby and a first. Id still do it for Perry (a young right handed sniper with grit).

bert hasn't got the stuff anymore to be an effective top 6 player on the wings. demote to third line as soon as possible. Franzen can be traded or come back. I'm undecided. If it meant getting a younger and more talented sniper in a larger package I'd see Franzen go.

Hmmmm... I like #1,2,3,4. Perry would be a GREAT addition. He has the grit AND scoring we need in the top 6. Perfect player to prevent us getting pushed around and has a right handed shot. I would make a few changes though. I'd have Tatar in the top 6 for bert and move bert down to third line and eaves down to fourth line bumping andersson out. I just think Bert shouldn't be relied upon anymore as a top 6 player and should convert to more of a checking role. That makes a solid bottom 6. Does anyone think that Perry could be had for Fil, Franzen, Emmerton and a first rounder next year? datsyuk has said multiple times he would like another russian on the team and semin has shown some heart these playoffs. I'd like to think that datsyuk could bring out the best in his countryman and we could use a right hand sniper in our lineup. If franzen is traded for other things semin would be great. But like others said, our top 6 doesn't have room for two chronic egotistic floaters.

We won't be getting Nash within the division. The price would be like Fil, Franzen, Nyquist, and 1st for next year. Look at what they asked for from the Rangers - i think it was more than what I proposed.

Fil, Abby and even Franzen hold value. Of course we have a cupboard full of prospects too but I'm not necessarily talking Clowe, that was brought up by someone else, but I agree he would be a good fit.
