saw a "rumour" on HF boards about carter requesting a trade out of CLB. clb fans said it would take a top 4 defenseman (ericsson?) plus top 6 player (cleary? (hudler wont work)) and pick/prospect (1st?) to get him. carter, plus suter and parise would result in us destroying SJ. jus sayin. this current lineup cant do it 4 times in 7 games no matter how "hard" they play. need to match up night in and night out. its as simple as that.

We're for sure going to hae to give up a lot to get those two guys. They arent going to come as ufas for free. Look at what happened with ehrhoff and wiz. Its gonna take guys like franzen and cleary or some young guys as well as a our first rounder to make that happen.

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Nyquist Hudler-Filppula-Franzen Cleary-Helm-Bertuzzi Holmstrom-Abdelkader/Emmerton-Eaves All or nothing on the top line. We are going to have a serious problem when mursak is healthy.... i foresee a trade....perhaps for a dman..... Its just so hard to sit anyone on that lineup other than Emmerton. Unless huds sat. Cleary has been garbage on the top line and its time for that experiment to be over. He is on his ass on the ice all the time when playing against top players.

god i love this argument. u said the same thing about burns when i brought that up and he re-signed before playing a single game. dude, we have the cash to give him the contract he wants. IF we somehow were in a position to land weber i wouldn't be concerned about bolting.

if they were leaning towards a trade who would you offer up? On HF there are preds fans saying that they aren't going for prospects and picks obviously, or a large number of 4th line players. They need some scoring and a replacement Dman. Other teams would offer up nice packages so thats what im interested in. I'd offer up Franzen, Stuart, Higher Pick for Weber give or take some smaller pieces from both sides (no lebda). Both these guys are legit players that anyone would want on their team. Stuart is a great replacement for them at about the cap hit they are interested in and franzen is the legit scorer they want. Hudler, Kindl, 2 firsts isn't gonna cut it. With Smith coming up next season and lids probably retiring this leaves our d pretty solid imo.

id take him for 8 and under. he is on another level to kronner and stuart. I see them getting up to 5mill but weber is the best young dman in the league and runner up for norris. if u want a lidstrom replacement - this is it.

Top 5 d in the nhl. Franzen playing 75+ games Further than the 2nd round of the playoffs. Lids in top form still, and a + player this year so people get off his back.

U don't think that lombardi knows that he's getting late first rounders? its even more a sure thing that we finish high if he's giving DD to us. Its would be what the guy before said, with a better player like stuart going the other way. I could see: Stuart, Fil, Ericsson, 1st 2012 and we get something like DD and a 3rd back. No way LA takes hudler back, it takes premier talent to get premier talent. EDIT: not to mention that LA still wants to make a cup run, so they need someone to fill the void on right D and stuart could be perfect. Also, Ericsson has some sort of modified NTC according to capgeek.
