its like the nhl wants to try to make things more exciting for fans. NO, the better team should win, period. stop calling s***ty penalties that are blatantly one sided.

i am ashamed of the referees. clear multiple hooks on eaves and abby on their chances. no calls. dumb interference call against fil, and others were called against us. this is bulls***. i can barely watch when they start throwing 2 min 5 on 3s against us. this is the second time in 2 games they pulled this s***. doan is a dangerous player out there too.

okay, um thats the lamest s*** i've heard in a while. in the end, i'd be showing my pride no matter what. i want the wings players to see their fans and get pumped that so many showed up rather then them seeing all white. fans come to support their team, not just to watch. imo the red in the stands has an impact on the players.

refs are being ridiculous. how many times as a stick caught a guy in the helmet and it been a no call? all the time. that was incidental contact on the abby call due to a slight collision. worst reffing. meanwhile holmstrom is getting crosschecked to the ice and there is not even one call on that. i call shenanigans on these refs.

I really don't see us not dominating this game. Last year we were just happy to make the playoffs by the end of the season. This year we start the right way by getting pumped at home and bringing the intensity.

our second lines don't match up. thats what scares me. id rather see babs use abby's line against the hossa line than the fil line. just saying. Wings win 4-2. Z,Franzen,Kronwall,Rafalski.

I'm in med school right now. a lot of a doctor's diagnosis in this case is related to what the patient is experiencing. you have to take the word of your patient. scans and tests aren't the be all and end all. if ozzie is coming out in interviews and saying hes gonna be fine by march then he likely was saying the same to his doctors. it seems as though the injury was a serious one, and its hard to be realistic when your career is on the line. I'm not doubting that he put his health on the line. it also wasn't a good choice thats all im saying. i love ozzie and what he's done for us. i don't want you to think im hating on him directly. it just seems like he's getting old and he's not the same player physically. i don't think he's fully accepted that. neways, im not interested in fighting. hence the :"i know im gonna get ripped on" in the original post.

i gotta say. abby up on the first line with cleary and z looked awesome. they were really physical from the get go and haven't really let the van dmen find their feet much. something we haven't seen much this season except from the 4th line. i loved it. grind guys getting time with first line players. everyone seems to be using their shifts.

i like the guy, i just don't know how he'd do in big games. he seems pretty consistent and solid. he makes the saves he should and thats why i like him. howard is flashy and makes big stops but then will turn around and let in softies the next game.
