when the "detroit red wings" play bad defense, the name refers to everyone including all dmen, coaches and forwards. I'm not saying that just our dmen have played poor d, hard backchecking and work by the forwards contributes and can make life for a d man more easy. The coaches also are part of the team and are responsible for educating the players etc. Its everyone's fault. Id still love if hitch came in for mccrimmon. just saying.... remember when he showed up for a bit before the season started? i got my hopes up then.

Id give my left nut to have hitch come in and take over for mccrapy. i mean, hed be going down in the coaching hierarchy, but if he wants to win.... datsyuk is the kid on everyone's junior team that is way better than everyone else and brings up their level. we all had those kids on our teams - its just odd to see someone so much talented than everyone else in professional sports - hes making space and looks for huds. Just thought id mention - how many consecutive offsides did huds have at the end there? 3? i know hes slow, so he didn't want to lose any of his hard earned speed entering the zone lol. those offsides were boneheaded. the goal at the end i admit was a good choice to go to the net, but still, anyone on this team would have buried that one. he didn't have that awesome of a game. and he missed on a breakaway off a dirty tape to tape pass from dats. oh ya, and his SO goal was pretty gutless too. off the post off miller and in.

its other teams' sad attempt of appearing as though they have classy throwback jerseys, but they will never come close to the winged wheel. classic two colour red and white. we don't need no 3rd jersey to be classy.

fml. why are we talking about whether ericsson is better than bogosian atm? We can all agree that bogosian has a much greater potential than ericsson and is much younger and would be a project for the future to become a top dman. others are saying that we need to think about now and win the cup now which ericsson is better suited to help us do atm. so in the end, it depends on whether you want to take a bit of a risk now for the future or stick with the horses we're riding now. i personally think we should not pass up this opportunity because we never get a high draft pick like this and hes so young so there is a long time he can play for us - hes 20 and that means he could play 15 odd years for us. i think its an investment. meh, its up to holland.

I mentioned this trade weeks ago when the rumors that bogosian was available came out. everyone shot it down saying it would never happen. Now look, it became a possibility. This is a no brainer for me. gotta do this deal, id even sweeten the pot by throwing in someone like emmerton. In the future, a guy like zach bogosian could have a huge impact - one greater than all those players combined. I love the idea of a Bogosian/Smith top line. This trade would please me and hold me over for a couple years - in other words, i would never ask kenny for another thing. The day this happens (if) i might even cry of joy.

I'd go vintage with the top line - clutch on d and offense. Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Franzen - Filppula - Hudler Bertuzzi - Modano - Cleary Draper - Helm - Eaves Sit: Abby - in for Drapes if required Miller Defense: Lidstrom - Rafalski Stuart - Kronwall Salei - Ericsson Sit: Kindl Smith Goalies: Howard Osgood - although the second howard falters i wanna see if he can spark some playoff magic.

can't be upset about mule - the guys gonna be a father! i bet his kid will come out bucking his heels. that really sucks about raffi. i wanted to get a look at our team when we are healthy on top 3 lines and d. oh well, itll have to wait. maybe sometime next week when raffi and eaves are both back we will be fully healthy.
