THIS. everyone loves this kind of player when theyre wearing your sweater. hes the kind of guy that just does his thing no matter what and can be counted on to mix things up when they arent going your way. One thing that has to be noted is that avery has a pretty good handle on himself. he doesnt take too many boneheaded penalties or take many unnecessary penalties. i like that when the team is rolling he doesnt s*** disturb too much.

I see no trades in our near future. When (if cause hes not human) lids retires, i think we will see a pretty big overhaul. i doubt we will be able to pick up just one guy to fill the void (who can?). itll be a combo of upgrades obviously need another top 4 dman, and then a big time goalie upgrade would be good to start. then we will see the big time trades.

I like ericsson when he stickhandles into the zone a bit. he's got some decent moves on him from his forward days. but he struggles to pick his spots when to move up or stay back. then he makes boneheaded decisions at the blueline trying to pinch in terrible spots and trying to hold the zone when its too dangerous.

i mean, hes playing a responsible game as center. his +/- was great for a while. just not doing the things that would make me want him on the ice though. just keeping the puck out of our net isn't going to make me want him at center over any of our other guys that do that and put up points. datsyuk has been more physical of late than abby.

i still liked the way he played tonight. when he got put up on the top line he brought it hard. i fully expect to see ZDH reunited when healthy. they were creating chances at the end there. he played harder than anyone out there tonight.

I like that. Def the ZDH at the end of the game was great. I say switch cleary for franzen cause cleary mo bert would be a sick line. i dont like bert and franzen together, they arent producing anything. AGREE with the d lines. im done with this s***. play two lines heavily and let salei ericsson play low minutes. its not like they are that bad either, id be okay with them playing 15min a game. rafalski seems to drag his ass when hes not paired with lids. i was kinda hoping that ericsson standing up for him and fighting ott would spark him a little.

I totally agree. That would be sick. I don't see much of an upside to putting miller up on the 3rd. Although if I remember correctly, he did win us a couple games by scoring a few a while back when we were pretty banged up.

need to win this one, the canucks did us a favor and lost tuesday. i also feel like we need to play better at home. lately it seems like we've been lazy at home.
