If Quincey is out more than 1 game for any extended period of time we should be going with Ouellet. Kindl - Lashoff pairing will probably get picked to pieces fairly quickly by opposing teams.

Not sure if this belongs in its own thread: In 8 games this season Jarnkrok has put up 0 points. He was made a healthy scratch tonight in favour of Cullen.

Weiss must just have character issues (not that he's a jerk or anything). He was used to being handed first line minutes in FLA where they had a terrible tradition of being horrible and now he comes to Detroit and gets outworked by kids around him and just watches as his chances fly by. I don't think Weiss is an every-dayer that Babs preaches about. somewhere holland is so doing a dance. makes his life easier. -

Smith is just so smooth. His decision making and thinking has been streamlined and he is just playing his game out there rather than overthinking it.

chimera went after smith there after the whistle. He was the one who went to plaster Smith and ended up getting the cold shoulder... id be keeping quiet after that.

So far this season: The Getzlaf incident The Carey Price incident The Holtby incident This is pretty bad so far. I would maybe tolerate this many bad mistakes in an entire season.

Smith has been unreal tonight so far. Just looks so smooth out there. Nice hit reversal too - he does that a lot.

The NHL should man up and issue an apology to the Red Wings tonight. Even the NFL does that from time to time.

There is NO accountability for the refs. Bettman has them protected regardless of their conduct. If anyone pulled s*** like that at their day job they would be talking to the boss about their incompetence. These guys will just move on to the next game.
