Wouldn't mind getting blown out this game just so Holland and Babs consider changing things up. Bring in Weiss and waive Kindl for Ouellet. We have waited long enough on trading Kindl and it aint happening and its costing us games.

I don't see why Weiss isn't playing at this point. We had something good going that we didn't want to spoil but that is over now. Bring in Weiss and get him going.

This is where Babs' system fails us - once we fall behind more than 1 goal we are pretty much screwed because we don't score much in our system. I expect to be dismantled the rest of the game by trying to generate offence to catch up.

Yeah Myers hasn't put it together yet due to his poor development - might never. We are actually developing our kids and they want us to do the dirty work for them. Myers would be a beast by now if Detroit had drafted and developed him - such a shame. Same could be said for Adam Larsson.

1. Smith - creating offence, jumping up in on the play, leading the rush, cut down on mistakes and turnovers, making good decisions. 2. Kronwall - still in his peak, playing more careful as the leader of the d group, a few more mistakes than we are used to but that comes from playing the hardest minutes 3. DD - very steady, moving the puck well, not making mistakes, not producing offensively yet and this needs to come along soon hopefully 4. Quincey - haven't really noticed him which is a good thing, hasn't made any crazy stupid decisions that I've noticed, not much offensively 5. Kindl - he has been sheltered a lot it seems, hasn't been too bad after the first couple of games, still not doing much to contribute 6. E - has been slow, error prone, softer than usual, zero offence, average defence - either he is having a slow start or he isn't aging well All in all I would say Smith, Kronner, and DD are all mainstays for the future. I wouldn't mind picking up a Petry/Myers and then adding Ouellet and one of Jensen/Marchenko for next season. The following season we will probably see Sproul make the jump and then we have to make some tougher decisions. Sproul definitely needs to make this team eventually with his tools. I wouldn't mind shipping E out at the end of the year while he still has some trade value. Kronwall - Smith Dekeyser - Petry/Myers Ouellet - Marchenko/Jensen Lashoff

If you really want to generate scoring we need to have Mantha up as soon as he can physically play. Nyquist - Zetterberg - Franzen Pulkkinen - Datsyuk - Mantha Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco Abby - Helm - Glendening Andersson Miller Kronwall - Smith Dekeyser - Ouellet Quincey - Ericsson Lashoff This team could easily win pond-hockey run and gun style. Its so stressful to watch games and know that we only have 1 or 2 goals in us and if we get scored on once it pretty much spells a loss for us. I wish we could be down 3-0 and still feel like we have a shot to get points out of it.

Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Franzen Tatar - Sheahan - Nyquist Helm - Weiss - Abby Miller - Glendening - Andersson I think long term we should try to break Weiss in as 3C and have Z and Dats together to improve longevity. Mix and match the wingers as you like. 4th line has been fine.

ah yes. sorry. you are right. Also I recall the Fil produced only at wing with dats that one year so we wanted a legit 2C that could put up points.
