The reason I think Blashill could be a good choice in the next couple years is that he KNOWS these kids - he gets them - he knows when each of them thrive and falter. With the huge volume of kids coming up the pipeline I think he is a good choice due to his familiarity. -

Should be: Z - Dats - Alfie Tatar - Sheahan - Nyquist Franzen - Legwand - Abby Miller - Helm - Glendening Abby is just so bad with Z and Dats and doesn't think the game at a high enough level. Legwand should be C and Glendening moved to the wing. -

Smith has been very steady these playoffs despite looking flustered to start the season. He stays pretty calm out there against that Bruins forecheck. He seems to thrive under pressure which is not a talent every player has. I like his poise when he gets a pass in his feet and there is a man coming down on him - also he is starting to skate out of trouble rather than turn the puck over which is a huge improvement. -
Backman's goal was so slick - didn't realize he had that kind of toolbox. I just thought he was a reliable guy that could chip in offensively and skate decently.

Its sad that big E really could have swung this series in our favour. 1/3 shifts we have Kindl-Lashoff making mistakes and this has just killed us all series. -
