I ******* hate MTL. One of my least favourite teams in the east.

Dats looks so soft when going into the boards to engage a puck battle.

Refs didn't want to call two drawn by smith. I think they felt the first one was slightly soft and kept the hand down the second time. The BOOOS from the MTL fans definitely help them justify their non-calls.

Glendening will start scoring eventually. He is pretty focussed on other aspects of his game and that is what babs wants out of him. Nobody is expecting him to produce big - he is expected to give full effort out there and shut down opposing lines which he does very well. He actually does get one or two good chances per game but hasn't been able to bury them - I think that has to do with just being a guy who is searching hard for his first goal.

At this point do people even still want Edler?

I have a bad feeling about this one... we let things slide last night after the 1st and it wasn't pretty. I don't think we have won 5 in a row this season either so lets hope they prove me wrong! I'll be rooting hard for the wings no matter what.

Only way I see Weiss in the lineup is if it is between Bert and him in the scenario where we go down with injuries.

I don't want Weiss coming into the lineup out of shape and without any chemistry. The last thing we need is to move a guy like Glendening or Jurco out of the lineup to put in a player with zero game shape or chemistry. We can re-assess this situation in the offseason. If Jurco continues to shine through the regular season (and maybe playoffs hopefully we make it) then I can see Weiss as a buyout candidate - we would have to bite the bullet on the buyout cap hit. Re-sign legwand who has fit fairly well into our lineup and stayed healthy.

Things that strike me when looking at Sheahan: - he is an unbelievable passer especially around the net - he is big and strong on the puck and uses his size well to win puck battles - he is very responsible defensively and covers up for tatar a lot - doesn't get caught on breakouts - hardly ever gives the puck away - he seems to score when he has the opportunity - he doesn't take stupid penalties or very many at all (wasn't expecting this) - he stays very cool and collected on the ice - looks like a vet EDIT - one more big thing - he wins important face-offs consistently I would also add that for me - I am most impressed with Nyquist - then Tatar and Sheahan tied - then Jurco.
