I don't want to let Legwand walk considering we have sunk Jarnkrok into acquiring him. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Alfie Nyquist-Weiss-Franzen Tatar-Sheahan-Legwand Miller-Helm-Abby Ferraro/Callahan Trade Andersson, Buyout Tootoo Following year we bring up Jurco full time in place of Alfie. Leave Mantha for a season or two in GR then move someone to make room. That leaves GR with top prospects like Pulkkinen, Jurco, Mantha, AA and the cupboard doesn't look so bare.

Shea Weber wasn't playing like Shea Weber when he was Sproul's age. I do think Sproul is the closest thing many teams have to a Weber clone. I just don't know if he will develop fast enough to help Z and Dats. If we want the real thing - its going to cost us a first born son, 10 bulls, 1000 chickens, and the theoretical rights to play don't stop believin' at the end of games. That is a price we can't afford. This is the same GM that pried Jarnkrok, 3rd, Eaves out of us for a 33 UFA Legwand who would only waive to go to detroit...

When you consider only 1 rookie got injured and that was due to a crosscheck to the ribs that would have happened to anyone I think the lesson to be learned is that our young talent is reliable, robust, and deserves roster spots in the future. Re-signing Bert, Cleary, Sammy who have all been injured often is so ridiculous when they hardly play anymore and when they do they are nursing some injury. Quincey, while I don't want him re-signed, has at least been healthy somehow.

Another case where Van made a bad trade. Gillis moved a good player (Hodgson) for potential (Kassian) and now it hasn't panned out. He will be looking for big return to make up for what he initially paid.

I'd like to see ferraro go. Bert is pretty slow out there 5on5 and especially with low end line mates. Bert with an injury out there will be even worse - he is still valuable as net front presence on the pp but we need more than that with our depleted lineup.

That game against Edmonton he was sooooo bad. But earlier in the year he played very well with good line mates and put up points.

Boyle would be great but only on a 1 year deal - if you look around the NHL that isn't happening much - Alfie was the exception and not the rule. We have a couple kids ready in 1 years time and we can't afford to lose those assets due to a logiam. Boyle, Marchenko replacing Kindl and Quincey would be ideal with Ouellet and Sproul stepping in the year after for Lashoff and Boyle.

The one highlight of going to this game will be seeing Pulkkinen and the kids live. Obviously why I bought the tickets I wanted to see the Pavs/Z show.

Considering how much Holland paid for a 33 year old rental - I don't want to give up what holland would pay to the same GM for shea weber in his prime signed for longterm.
