The streak means nothing to me if we just band-aid up the team and never actually make a run at the cup. I'd rather miss the playoffs, get a decent asset at the draft, trade away Q for a pick, and then come back the next 2 years with better players and actually win one.

I think Holland should stand pat on "buying" but I really think he should get something for Qunicey while he can. Q has been here for years now and still has no confidence and plays terribly in our system. After drafting him with a pick and then trading a 1st rounder it would be nice to recover some assets for him. I don't think Quincey gives this already decimated team much more of a chance of making the playoffs than without him. Let Kindl or a kid play and call it a day. Holland will say in his interview that they actually went out a tried to make some moves but just couldn't get anything done due to the cap hell he put us in etc.

Holland should shut it down for the season if Helm is out over 2 weeks. Sell Quincey at the deadline and bring up a kid to learn the ropes a bit. We end up with a better draft pick as we slip and in the end we start next year the great team we are now - without Q, Bert, Cleary, Sammy of course.

Andersson isn't an nhl player. Proved it tonight. We can find bottom liners that can PK like him and still pitch in. Andersson is slow as s*** and doesn't do much out there even strength. Even with Franzen and Nyquist he looked bad.

Howard could have stopped that if he was out a little farther. He plays best when he is aggressive and the closer you are to the tip the less room it has to move on you. The first goal was s***ty goaltending for sure though. The 3rd one he just didn't get up or make an effort to come across or that would have been an easy save.

We need another ******* dman. Cmon holland - pony up the assets and do it. The best thing Quincey can achieve out there is just not being s*** - we need a better dman with higher expectations.

Penner would be nice if we didn't already have Bert. If we added penner he would instantly be hated for taking spots from young guns.

Chicago quietly nabbing an under performing young talent with a RH shot. Good move here. If Rundblad turns it around for them like leddy they will be laughing. Their 2nd is pretty much a 3rd.

Chicago got a huge bargain getting Rundblad for a 2nd round pick. They don't need him very much but it was a bargain and they acquired the asset.

Would take Nyqusit/Tatar, Jurco, Ouellet/Sproul, 1st at least. Not worth it imo. Everyone saw Subban screw the Habs in our last game against them - I don't like his on-ice antics and they can hurt his own team.

I like helm - but playing devil's advocate - a 2C plays harder and more minutes than a 3/4C so I would prefer my better players to be in the top 6 rather than have a strong bottom 6 and weak top 6. You can find bottom 6 guys with value around the league - a guy like eaves can pass though waivers.

I'm going to the game on March 14th - I NEED dats to be in the lineup at the very least.

I'd still be cool with holland trading our 1st for a 1st next year to a lower end team and then use our 2 firsts next year to jump into the top 10 and grab a legit C prospect. I'd love stamkos and malkin too

If holland did that I would rage quit hockey. You don't trade away our highest first rounder in forever for 2nd round picks when our prospect system doesn't need quantity but quality. We have loads of guys - we are looking for the best available at this point - hopefully a big C with top 6 potential.

We can give him a job within the organization if he wants one. That would be fair. He is pretty much done in the NHL.

I can't see how Holland can justify re-signing this guy. He isn't even playing and is injured (I thought he was just sick at first). So ineffective even as a depth player.

I would okay that trade. Helm is only 3 years younger and Almqvist and the 1st aren't deal breakers for me. I have doubts Vancouver would do this however. Depends how they value Helm - they haven't had a bottom 6 centre like him that I can remember. We have Sheahan and Glendening and Andersson ready to play bottom 6 Cs so Helm isn't as vital as he once was (but he is still an awesome player).
