What does tats have to do to get into te top six? Sheahan over tats?!
-
Weiss seeing a specialist to determine if surgery is needed - the guy is done for the foreseeable future likely.
-
Current issues are injuries. Babs has a couple more years of this before I think his job is in danger. I think likely that would happen only if Kenny retired and a new GM had new ideas for the team.
-
Hahaha this is a unique thread. We do have enough injuries to ice a pretty nice injured roster. Team 2 would certainly score more goals.
-
We have KFQ to get game misconducts...

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=652081 Clearly not kronwalling...

Schenn runs around like that all the time and blatantly runs players every game. I wouldn't be surprised if that was retaliatory to something Schenn did earlier.
-
he had 2 boneheaded penalties but babs will only remember the goal

somehow cleary gets one - sick joke

This is where I see this team next year. Alfie for 1 more year until Jurco finishes developing. Influx of youth into the bottom 6 to give us the energy we have been lacking in the bottom 6 for the last couple years. There are some decisions to make in the bottom 6 as to who stays. I honestly don't love Andersson much in terms of what he brings to the lineup. CAPGEEK.COM ARMCHAIR GM ROSTER CapGeek Armchair GM Roster FORWARDS Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Pavel Datsyuk ($7.500m) / Daniel Alfredsson ($5.000m) Gustav Nyquist ($0.950m) / Stephen Weiss ($4.900m) / Johan Franzen ($3.955m) Justin Abdelkader ($1.800m) / Darren Helm ($2.125m) / Tomas Tatar ($1.500m) Drew Miller ($1.350m) / Riley Sheahan ($0.900m) / Landon Ferraro ($0.800m) Joakim Andersson ($0.733m) / Luke Glendening ($0.700m) / Mitchell Callahan ($0.700m) DEFENSEMEN Niklas Kronwall ($4.750m) / Jonathan Ericsson ($4.250m) Brendan Smith ($1.263m) / Danny DeKeyser ($2.400m) Jakub Kindl ($2.400m) / Xavier Ouellet ($0.670m) Brian Lashoff ($0.725m) or Adam Almquist GOALTENDERS Jimmy Howard ($5.292m) Jonas Gustavsson ($1.500m) BUYOUTS Carlo Colaiacovo ($0.000m) Jordin Tootoo ($0.000m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (estimations for 2014-15) SALARY CAP: $71,100,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,244,545; BONUSES: $224,167 CAP SPACE (24-man roster): $8,855,455 The more important decisions will be made at the draft table. I think we need to go all in on a 1C prospect. I would love to trade our 1st this year for a 1st next year then move up and get a 1C.

Alfie looks to intentionally avoid passing to Jurco... Dats actually looks somewhat lazy out there tonight compared to most nights.

Rename thread: Can Detroit ever get healthy?
-
In what planet is cleary a viable nhler anymore?
-
I'm surprising myself by watching this one. I keep telling myself I need to stop watching until we get healthy so I don't pull out my hair.
-
Agreed. Most people think he is a 4th liner - he disappointed after his draft year offensively so lots of people got down on him. I think he could be at least as effective as Abby in the NHL realistically.
-
welp. im out

eaves looks good
-
jesus christ - we can't put the puck in the net.
-
OMG bury those for f***sakes
-
Tatar-Datsyuk-Alfredsson Nyquist-Franzen-Jurco Miller-Glendening-Eaves Cleary-Andersson-Bert But realistically Jurco ends up in the bottom 6. I like the Miller-Glendening-Eaves line a lot - no passengers, all effort.
-
I'm excited to see this kid play with the big team. I'd love to see him force Holland's hand some more. Thing is - the more nhl ready youth we have the more traceable assets we have. People still think our prospects are overrated and underproductive but if we can break in Tatar, Nyquist, and Jurco this year with all of them showing top 6 abilities - we are looking good.
-
This is somehow Quincey's fault...
-
Kulikov is no stop gap - he is a young Dman who would be playing on this team for 10 years. It would be more than Kindl to get him too.
