I will say this: If Holland decides keep Sammy, Cola/White around for another season I will be calling for his retirement. These panic signings have to be cut out with amnesty buyouts. If they are on next year's starting roster ahead of a few kids I think Holland will have gone mental.

I don't think we will. Babs said he isn't just giving him a game unless he thinks the kid gives them a chance to win. No offence but how has DD shown he can be an improvement over our defense yet? This blows for DD because we are trying to squeak into the playoffs and can't really afford to have him fail if he does get a sniff.

Well I would imagine that Holland has the last word. If Nill was always second guessing everything Holland proposed he probably wouldn't be around anymore so I imagine he has his own ideas but hasn't had his chance to run the show.

Absolutely not. He needs at least one full season in GR before getting even a call-up. 2 full seasons before anything full-time.

I'm not surprised. Feaster is the kind of GM that would be blind or at least ignorant to the potential of other team's prospects. All he sees is "2nd round pick" and thinks the deal is worse than the one offered by the Blues. Realistically I bet Holland included prospects far better than the two in that Blues package. Feaster doesn't see that his future 1st rounder is further away from making it in the nhl than an experienced prospect is. He could have asked for Rattie + 2nd, 3rd and it would have been a better deal in my opinion.

I think it is important that we don't swing too hard towards youth. Look at Edmonton for example. We need some guys in their prime mixed in with the youth. I also think that it is possible to have too many prospects in the cupboard where not all will be given the chance to succeed. If Kindl had competition this year he probably wouldn't be one of our top guys right now. Eriksson is 27/28 and fits nicely in with the current core and will still be around when the youth hits. I don't mind losing a few picks here and there considering what we already have.

Well thanks for not calling me an idiot lol . but ya, I'd consider flip but he would have to be re-signed and he doesn't really match the re-build for dallas because he is 29 already. ouellet is more in line with what they are interested in. A top prospect at F, D and a 1st, 2nd is pretty good.

well ya (me too), but at what price? I think Gabby is more realistic due to his age and the fact that he isn't on the most friendly contract right now. eriksson would be quite expensive but worth it
