Sign Parenteau,Moen and one of Konopka/Prust,get both Wideman and Garrison and sign a backup goalie for cheap. Not the best possible team on paper, but definitely much tougher and deeper than the last season roster

TSN link discuss...

Not a Hudler hater, nor Semin fan,but motivated Hudler is capable of scoring 25 goals and yet motivated Semin has scored 40 goals not so long ago,so If I must pick one of them I'd rather take Semin for around $5mil. than Happy Huds for around $4mil.

Still can't believe he isn't hall of famer.Vlad absolutely deserved to be there.
-
lol...any list before draft and free agency is kind of ridiculous
-
Douglas Murray...yes please Doug Wilson can choose among Quincey,Ericsson or Kindl to go the other way
-
San Jose did both us and them a favour. They got the right to make a deal with him before the 1st of July and avoid potential bidding war with other Cali teams.I don't think LA is interested in Stuart, but Anaheim on the other hand... After all, there wouldn't be any issues to move his family(stepdaughter included)a bit south within the State of California.
-
Ok who let Don Cherry on lgw ?
-
Neither am I,but as a Wings fan got to respect his decision to be with his family, especially after this statement yesterday:
-
Did you have the same attitude when Brian Rafalski signed here to be closer to his family?
-
Red Wings prepared to offer Hudler contract...from what is left after the big shopping at the 1st of July
-
I'm pretty pissed that Sharks almost got a freebie here, but at least we've got a pick in return. I don't bother about his points much, cause he's a defensive d-man with extremely limited PP time, but if you want to talk about stats, here are some: 2010-11: 131 Hits,114 Blocks 2011-12: 177 Hits,115 Blocks That's still good enough for me

So the Rangers got rid of one head case named Sean Avery to bring another one in Radulov...epic

We Need to Get Tougher to Play Against
pucktividi replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
People neg'd me when I suggested Stuart for Mitchell trade at the deadline(when it became obvious Stuie won't resign here). The Wings will be tougher to play against with Mitchell instead of Quincey for sure -

Spend Mr.I's cash on 2 top and 2 role players that "fit" our system is more realistic than go hard core, leave the system we've been playing for 20 years and change the half of a roster just to be like the recent cup winning teams in one off-season. -

Nothing against enforcer(s),but don't want to see us becoming Bruins/Kings like team. Yes they won it by chasing, dumping, trapping and fore-checking,but the key is still Conn Smythe winning goaltenders. Call me crazy, but I still want Red Wings like team that moves the puck soo damn quick that fore-checking f*ckers come 1 second too late, lol -
I don't expect(post#35),but he definitely could reach Franzen's 60+ points playing with Dats or Z + he's twice better 2-way player than the Mule...sadly
-
Of course the Wings are interested.Garrison is like a mix of Kronwall's offense and Stuart's defense in one
-
...because of playing efficiently on 3 or even on the 4th Caps line at times. How many points would Franzen have playing with Helm,Miller... for a half of a season?
-
Nick is just downright impressive on and off the ice
pucktividi replied to Frozen-Man's topic in General
Nick is in class of his own. They call him "Perfect Human" for a reason. This is just another example why... -
Saw this speculation somewhere(Malik report,me thinks)and to be honest I'd trade Franzen for Laich. Laich might never reach 30 goals per season, but he's very versatile forward who can play both winger and center, and is capable to play on scoring or checking line and PP and PK as well. He's a type of player we've been missing the recent Playoffs. And Helm's gonna be a Wing for life...mark it
-
Agree,we've lost 3 Cup winning d-men in 2 off-seasons(Lidstrom,Rafalski,Stuart).That said we need more than just some tweaks this time.
-
lol that's even better than see him doing between the benches job instead of Murphy
-
"Retiring today allows me to walk away with pride, rather than have the game walk away from me" Watching sports all my life, but didn't hear anything better than this quote, way to say Mr.Nick

Lack of motivation and drive to continue of doing 6/7 days workouts, being away from his family and his hometown. Those things wouldn't change even with Suter or Parise on the roster.
