Or put it just outside the crease and call it inside.

Yahoo Sports has it: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/hockeynight/2011031927

It definitely wasn't limited to just the lower bowl last night. Pretty much every section was at least 50% red. There were definitely some older people there, but it seemed to be mostly people in their 30s and 40s. Some of us move to Florida before we retire

I don't live in the Orlando area (near St. Pete/Tampa), but I'll be at the game with my brother.
-
I guess Holmstrom won't be getting a goal in his first game back.
-
I'll be there with my brother, second level. Can't wait

I agree completely... in goal/no goal situations at least. If they changed that, I'd be happy. Here's where I got that: What they said (if I remember and understood it correctly) was the war room called the refs to let them know it should be a goal, but the ref said he already blew the whistle, so the goal never actually went to review.
-
I don't think that's the problem. If I remember correctly, the war room's decision is final. They're just limited in what kinds of things they can review. Like Brad May's disallowed goal last year, where the war room said it should be a goal, but because the ref said he already blew the whistle (or "intended to") the play wasn't reviewable. Another common problem that's not reviewable is goals getting called back for goaltender interference, no matter how obvious it is from the video that the player is outside the crease.

Game 7 against Phoenix?
-
That's correct. It was March 9th against the Flames, so he's 16-1-3 in his last 20 regular season games.
-
I laughed when I saw that. We were also missing Lidstrom, Kronwall, and Rafalski on defense.
-
I lost any respect I had for the Penguins after that game. Talbot slashing Datsyuk's injured foot was when I decided I hated them (and Maxime Talbot).
-
Later in his career though, he was golden.

Coming To America! DET @ TBL Feb 17th
Datsyuk Fan replied to Wing Across The Pond's topic in General
Like Glubki said, there are a lot of people from Michigan down here. When I went two years ago, it was at least close to being sold out. There were as many Red Wings fans there as Lightning fans. This year, I would expect even more because of Steve Yzerman. I also heard they are selling more season tickets this year. -
I don't know of any current Red Wings on Twitter (I hardly use it), but Brendan Shanahan (http://twitter.com/NHLShanny) posts some pretty interesting stuff. He's slowed down a lot since the playoffs.
-
To be fair, he should have had a goal against Dallas this season, but but Dennis LaRue waived it off. That doesn't change your point though.

I have all the penalties called on both teams in game 2 except the first slashing call on Howard. I don't think they ever showed that on VS. I tried to get the announcers' comments on the calls as well. Combined, they are 113 MB. I might do the other games if I get a chance. I think the linesman can consult with the refs after the play is stopped, although you're right--that wouldn't apply when they missed the call in the first place.
-
I don't care whether the refs saw stuff that they didn't call, or just didn't see it. There are four of them and it's there job to see it (I know it's a fast game and they can't see everything). Either way, they aren't doing a good job. Also, they should be holding both teams to the same standard, not scrutinizing one team more than the other.
-
They said they would be watching closely for diving the whole time, so I wouldn't count on that. I would love to be proven wrong though. Also, (and this isn't really a reply to you, just the comment in the article) there's a difference between setting a tight standard and not letting them play hockey.

I know there's no conspiracy and I know that the bad call weren't directly Bettman's fault. But part of the commissioner's job is "...protecting the integrity of the game of professional hockey and preserving public confidence in the League." (from the NHL constitution). He's also responsible for selecting the officials and establish policies for interpreting and enforcing the rules. If you replace Obama with the Secretary of State (or whoever is in charge of the DMV in your state), your analogy would be more correct, and yes, you could (partially) blame him/her for the horribly slow lines. Basically, what I'm saying is that when someone says, "f*** you Bettman", that doesn't imply that there's a league-wide conspiracy to screw over the Red Wings (that would be stupid), it just means that he needs to do a better job at handling the league and the quality of the officiating.

I think I read it was Leggo and one of the linesmen. Regardless, I don't really think that one call puts him on the level of O'Halloran, LaRue, and Watson. I was just throwing him out there.
