I don't see whats so confusing about the title, maybe "Ready to declare last year good for the long-term" makes it a bit understandable. I def agree with OP that last year was vital for this teams success this year, no doubt about it. I'm hopeing the Draper comment was a joke/sarcasm?

I would have to completely disagree with getting rid of Ericsson... especially since he has looked good since coming back from injury. I agree with Mindfly, to bring him up to the NHL, maybe not this season as he's lighting up the minors and thats more than likely helping. Definitely next season tho give him some NHL time.

This. I've noticed it the past few games, he just doesn't have that jump like in the beginning of the season.

Tonights game was great, very action-filled and intense. Lidstrom and Datsyuk keeping their point streaks and Cleary netting in another, his play these past few games has been amazing.

Eaves needs to replace Miller, not that Miller isn't playing good just that I am surprised Eaves sat out for Miller while Eaves is the only one on the 4th like with goals (2).

That game fully came down to the third, and the Wings took way too many penalties against the best PP team so far. Thats the main reason for the lost, no one really played that bad for a back-to-back game and I thought Howard really gave them a chance to win it. Also Franzen has been invisible out there the past few games... he must be injured.
