I'm going to be in Michigan for Christmas, and I'm going to a wings game while I'm home. I plan on spending the night at Greektown that night just because it makes things so easy. - You park in their garage, and your car is relatively safe, and free if you get your ticket validated inside. - You have a place to eat before/ after the game. - if you spend the night you can leave the next day in the daylight. (easier to find your way around, and if you do get lost it isn't at night) - people mover is a pretty efficient/ safe way to get to the game and back, and there is a stop inside of Greektown. Just my 2 cents.

Dan Cleary POTG w/ 4 goals that Datsyuk shoots off of his back side.

its strange to think that a satellite in space can tell exactly where your car is on the whole planet, and they cant come up with a system to keep track of a puck.

Awesome!!

I have been waiting for so long to see Tootoo, and Helm on the same line. I'm pretty pumped about this. AdamBombQuist on the PP is going to be awesome too!!

We need Eaves back

Good thing they held on. I didn't want to come up with an excuse for postponing my meeting in 20 mins.

I'm usually not as frustrated with bad plays, or mistakes, because at least they are playing /trying. That's just me i guess. Franzen just standing around, not moving his feet, swinging his stick one-handed at pucks makes me nuts though, at least look like you are trying.

Alf hasn't made me scream at the TV yet. Franzen on the other hand...

Ill be in town from Houston for about a week in December, and id like to take my girlfriend (Born in TX, and has never even seen snow!!) to her first NHL game while I'm home. If anyone has any ideas on how to get my hands on some reasonably priced tickets id really appreciate it. I'm trying to get into the lower bowl if i can. Thanks!!

I thought the stadium was going to be on Woodward just north of 75?? -
This was the first thing i thought too. His knees work... He doesn't trip over the blue line when he enters the zone... Killer deal.
-
At least he knows he isn't getting traded for a while.
-
That's what i was thinking too. He was pretty pumped last year when he landed in Detroit. This year he seems kinda mehh.. We'll see. It only took him one practice to realize what he's missing.

I think it would be an inspiration to get a young team to make their own history. They are a part of a franchise that has had some great teams, but they haven't really accomplished anything yet. Its their time to step up, its their time now. Just my 2c -
Signed Cleary re-signs with Detroit, 1 year, $1.75m deal

I love the organization, and i would even sing with the wings for.... FREE. Even though that is a great deal, it wouldn't make any sense at all. The team is two players over the roster limit, and they are adding people. It just seems like a step in the wrong direction to me. -
Phillidelphia, where players go to live out their twilight years on LTIR

If Kronwall would have left we wouldn't have had a defense.

I have been waiting for a lines thread, but i didn't want to be the one who started it. I didn't want to be internet grounded. Here's what I'd like to see... Trade Eaves Drop Emmerton CAPGEEK.COM USER GENERATED ROSTER My Custom Lineup FORWARDS Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Pavel Datsyuk ($6.700m) / Todd Bertuzzi ($2.075m) Johan Franzen ($3.955m) / Stephen Weiss ($4.900m) / Daniel Alfredsson ($5.500m) Gustav Nyquist ($0.950m) / Joakim Andersson ($0.733m) / Tomas Tatar ($0.840m) Justin Abdelkader ($1.800m) / Darren Helm ($2.125m) / Jordin Tootoo ($1.900m) Bench: Mikael Samuelsson ($3.000m) / Drew Miller ($1.350m) DEFENSEMEN Niklas Kronwall ($4.750m) / Jonathan Ericsson ($3.250m) Kyle Quincey ($3.775m) / Jakub Kindl ($2.400m) Danny DeKeyser ($1.350m) / Brendan Smith ($1.263m) Bench: Brian Lashoff ($0.725m) / GOALTENDERS Jimmy Howard ($5.292m) Bench: Jonas Gustavsson ($1.500m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $66,214,545; BONUSES: $3,010,000 CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $1,095,455 - I like the way Bert plays with Pav, and i think he has the offensive abilities to hang on a top line still. If hes injured just move Abby up, or plug Sammy in. - 2nd line looks like a lot of fire power for a 2nd line. Hopefully Franzen steps up, and scores a ton with the new guys this year. - 3rd line is the same as last year, but we switch Brunner w/ Tatar, and i think tots plays a more agressive/ defensive game then Brunner. This line was pretty good in the playoffs. i think once they get a little time together this group can be a very effective depth scoring threat. - 4th line is a new version of the grind line. These three guys don't have a ton of scoring touch, but they would get the job done with hard work alone. Not to mention the amount of penalties they would draw. Id really love to see this line happen.

Remember in 2011 when Pav was out for a stretch of games. It was for knee surgery i think. We lost a majority of the games when he didn't play. i just don't think the wings win without him.
