the whole area around the arena is a mini town with a ton of sweet bars and restaurants. margarita ville, another sweet western themed bar with mechanical bulls. just watch out for PHX fans, they think they know something about hockey

Put the bong down nutz Awesome play. Anytime you block a shot you can get injured and taking that chance is always a sign that youre always ready to take one for the team. Love the play. White has been a great for us so far. Love it.

Noticing that the BJs are 0-3 to start the season, and going 0-16 on the PP. What the problem here? I havent been able to watch them at all. I suspected they would have a breakout season, and possibly even put up a fight for the central division crown now that they have Carter and Wizzy (still suspended i know) on top of Nash and Mason. Any body have any input?

having a hard time telling what happened exactly. doesnt look like a flagrant elbow. just looks like a guy tried to come across the middle at the blue line which is a pretty risky play in itself. 20 games sounds pretty damn harsh.

Agreed. I think its cool that the teams are able to make minor tweaks to their home ice to create an advantage. You see it in MLB with positioning of outfield fences (yankee stadium comes to mind among others), and possibly in other sports such as football where you have either fake or real grass or even acoustics in a stadium to make it louder (debatable I suppose in that case). Hopefully the wings can capitalize on this when we make the trip to the tank.

i forgot to make the pics before i left work on friday. on my work computer i have the password saved and when i tried it at home it wouldnt work at all (usernames and password) so I got boned. oh well, as long as we still drop 2 weeks i should be good.

An OT loss is not a loss. Its not a win, but not a loss. Any team will take the 1pt over nothing, and making it to OT pretty much means it was an even game so its nothing to freak out about. This is salary cap hockey. Any who, I came here to post that there have been rumors of trading Flip to philly. I dont think they will offer what we would need to let him go, but well see. Just curious to see everyones thoughts.

According to the wings twitter, they got bagged at practice today on what should have been an off day. Hopefully this short term fix will get the boys fired up for a tough game on friday vs. the sharks.

Boris Valabik who has bounced around between ATL, BOS, and PITT is a good friend of mine. Lived with him for a while while the Slovak national team was in town for a summer a few years ago and always stayed in touch.
