Is it possible that ozzie has been healthy enough to play as of a couple days ago, but Kenny put him on the IR knowing that he would have to give Ozzie a few days off here real soon? He was put on the IR a few days ago, retro-active to a week prior to that. I believe you have to be on the IR for 2 weeks before you can come off. So if he wouldn't have been on the IR he would have to be a healthy scratch and we would have keep his salary hit on our cap and because of that would have only enough cap space for one call up (MacDonald). But with all the injuries, we needed both mursak and macdonald, so they cleared space for him. If ozzie comes back for the blues game, it would be close to the time he would be eligible to come off the IR, and we'd be able to get rid of Mac and keep mursak if need be. And he'll still have 2 weeks to get ready for the playoffs. Make sense?

well its not all up to ozzie whether or not hes coming back. the wings have to make the decision to resign him. and they shouldnt.

well my thinking is that cuz now that ozzie is on the LTIR, his salary comes off the books for now, and then we have room for mursak and macdonald. i could be wrong though..

does this mean we still get to keep mursak for tonight?

agreed 100%. the only thing im worried about is if theyll be able to do that kind of stuff against a healthy/good team. no crosby, malkin, orpik, cooke, or fluery last night. it was great to see that happen though. after modanos goal, i dont think ive ever heard that place so loud in my life, and ive been to a s***ton of games. maybe the only comparable time was franzens 5 goal freak show last year.

seen this done before, still hilarious though. i dont really see where anybody couldve thought this injury was more than a broken/bruised foot. it was clearly a shot to the ankle/foot. to me it looked like eaves was laughing when he looked at kronwall, which is very typical for him.

I still didnt think it was that dirty. Weve all seen similar hits many times before, with most resulting in no injury. I dont think Chara's size is taken into consideration enough here, and you cant blame him for that. This to me was a hockey play, that fluked its way into a big time injury. I would contact the double tree and see if they have a shuttle available to pick you up from the airport. If not give checker cab a call 313-963-7000. edit: Better yet, if you dont mind spending like $40, call a company called metro cars. They have nice Lincoln's that can pick you up. Much cleaner and drivers are good guys.

I think most teams wear the 3rd jersey against us is because they try to use as a pick me up going into a big game. In college we had 3rd jerseys, and we'd wear them mostly when we were playing our rivals, or other big games.
